Berlin-based imprint Get Physical continues to enhance it's role as a tastemaker with the latest VA from the label taking the time to shine a light on the impressively developing South African music scene. The compilation, mixed byRyan Murgatroyd brings together a delightful ensemble of talent including the likes of Black Coffee, Bruce Loko, Thor Rixon and Floyd Lavin.

Additionally, Murgatroyd (Innervisions,  Defected) returns to Get Physical to provide 'Kanna' for the occasion. The Cape Town native has crafted a supreme piano-laden groover that we simply cannot get enough of. Check it out in full premiere below. The sixteen track compilation is set for release on March 3rd.

"Into the Oblivion is the debut EP of syrian talent and Nie Wieder Schlafen homegrown Quatri. The project itself has been in a constant change for over half a year, re-working, scrapping and adding tracks to the EP – forming it to a true testament of his exceptional work as a 20-year old producer. Radically different remixes from rising star Kincaid and bassline-forging master Rudy complement the EP and raise it to a level of rarely seen quality. A 5-tracker EP, that was refined and burnished to one of the best products we have put out yet.

The birth of Quatri's signature sound lays in "Ozora". A fusion of moog-synth basslines and the oriental touch of his origins brought a new tone to the scene, quickly praised by respected people in the scene like Jonas Rathsman and Edu Imbernon. Played and awaited by many, it makes us happy to have it back in our selection.

Finishing it off with haunting flute drafts and a brutal bassline lead for warehouse spaces, Rudy build on Quatri’s new developed sound and undoubtedly went beyond it. An unforgiving, minimalistic production, that concentrates so well on Rudy’s true power and love for engineering basslines. A gripping and tense ride, that gives the listener the final blow, leaving him with utter satisfaction, while still left behind with a feeling of wanting more."

The enormous variety of flora and fauna is predominant in nature, or there where humans go
to great lengths in creating something they can extract pleasure from.
It is with this kind of dedication to give full scope and exploration to unknown realms inside
his musical development that Jon Donson’s latest accomplishment can be described.
The main track blasts in full bloom to this effect right from the get go. Hypnotic advancement
is instantly bestowed through its sprouting shoots and essences within. Even with an overall
reduction both original songs transcend a summery ease in perfection. Incessantly we let the
rhythms and exquisite sounds carry us to where only natures pulse can caress us, protected
and safe, allowing picturesque associations freely.
Patrick Podage, a fellow studio mate contributes a fulminate and healthy secondary
interpretation of the main track. Arranging the instruments on higher frequencies, building
the frame and its distinctive structure to be emphasized by the ripe bass line is what makes
this track what it is. He incorporates the original sounds smartly, and creates tantalizing
variations with independent accents. Jon Donson delivers additionally a second original track,
called “You and Me” – nice and smooth as well.
The oeuvre elicits the pollen, the elixir of life from within – gliding and infecting minds and
souls heatedly. Satisfyingly we can confirm the emergence of the next generation in our
biosphere, so lets rave on...
