Pretty hard but pretty

Hey friends,
So my new EP is coming out.

For those who are curious I would describe it as a natural response to the last year and a half (yeah it’s cliche to write this these days, but please, give me a chance for quick explanation). 

Gigs went off, everything stopped, I had to go back to regular job and lot of things changed. 
But after a while, at the point when I somehow accepted all this, I must say - this was liberating.

Suddenly there was no urge to release something quickly, no need to set particular bpm, no need to obey any genre or to make a dancefloor-smashing tracks to get more gigs. No need to think about what label will and won’t like. Nothing was important anymore.

Music became my hobby again. I could do whatever I wanted and this was it. 

I am not saying that I won’t do dancefloor or dnb tunes anymore (I will - and I know what you are waiting for:)), but this intermezzo was so important for me.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Having recently made great strides in his production, having released on Dispatch, MethLab & Halogen, and in the Bristol live scene being head of its University DJ society, it seems like the perfect time to welcome Grey Code to our label.
