Something Rainy

After a long boat trip to Haven on the southern coast of Grahtwood, you finally approach Elden Root. From the distance you see the giant Elden Tree reaching into the sky. While walking the streets and exploring the area around the Altmer Embassy, you hear a small group of Bosmer playing a calm melody…

My idea behind this:
I was thinking about how street music in The Elder Scrolls Online would sound like. So I made myself somewhat familiar with the lore surrounding the Bosmer and started writing the song. I tried to keep it simple, since you probably won’t see a whole orchestra performing on the street and focused on the general atmosphere in Elden Root while also considering the lore. And that’s what this song is: My understanding of Woodelf lore and perception of Grahtwood expressed through music.

Song Of The Bosmer

Some lights of villages in the distance, the stars are clearly visible above your head. You’re in good company, sitting around a small campfire. The world around you is asleep, all you hear is the crackling fire along with the quite sounds of the nature surrounding you. You gaze at the night sky, forgetting about everything that haunts your thoughts…

I wanted to make a beat that is carried by its bassline, but it somehow got very orchestral, so I just went all the way with it. Also put in some nods to my beloved metalcore, which blend surprisingly well with the more boom bap-ish beat. So… Happy Halloween, I guess..
