15 YEARS OF SEX TAGS MANIA! Established in Bergen 2004 and ran by DJ Sotofett & DJ Fett Burger the first 4-5 years as one of Norways only labels consistently releasing House & Techno on vinyl. Since about 2008/09 it's been operated by DJ Sotofett.

Skatebård's "Conga" has turned to be one of the most sought after releases from the Sex Tags Mania catalog with it's sparse pressing of about 2-300 copies – though most of the original stock was given away as the record gained minimal interest in 2005. The original record was cut with excellence by Lawrie Immersion – and pressed in his own plant – the now defunct Curved Pressings. MANIA 30 – the repress of "Conga" has as close to original sound as possible and it also carries a new B-side – the Crystal Bois live version of "Conga" from 2007, featuring Skatebård on male vox!

Bård Aasen Lødemel, alias Skatebård, fattet interesse for techno og rave på 90-tallet, før han ble produsent av retrofuturistisk disco, house og techno.

Lødemel fra Ørsta ble raskt en del av Bergens voksende klubbmiljø etter å ha flyttet dit i 2000, og etter kort tid var han også signet på Tellés underlabel Tellektro. Hans første utgivelse under navnet Skatebård, et konsist album kalt Skateboarding Was a Crime (I 1989), ble utgitt (kun på vinyl) i 2002, og sakte men sikkert begynte Skatebårds rykte å spre seg utover Norges grenser.

Gjennom en imponerende karriere, fem album og mer enn tjue tolvtommere, har han jevnt og trutt laget seg en egen nisje og en helt unik stil, der en blanding av tilsynelatende forskjellige sjangre og stemninger faller seg helt naturlig. Musikken pendler mellom italo-disco og rå, Detroit-inspirert house og techno. Med en misunnelsesverdig eklektisk samling, og en evne til å navigere sømløst i den, byr Skatebårds DJ-sett på spennende utflukter i det ukjente og uventede. Han balanserer kitch med raffinement og eleganse, og resultatet er alltid livsbejaende, nonsjalant moro.

Bård Aasen Lødemel, aka Skatebård, dove into techno and rave culture in the 1990s before becoming a producer of disco, house and techno with a retro-futuristic touch. Originally from Ørsta, he moved to Bergen in 2000, where he quickly became part of the city’s burgeoning club scene. After handing a homemade demo to Mikal Telle, head of Tellé Records, he was signed in 2001 to the sub-label Tellektro. Over the course of an impressive career marked by five albums and more than twenty 12" EPs, he has secured a strong presence in some of the most respected venues on the electronic scene, effortlessly navigating between seemingly opposite genres and moods : Italo disco and raw, Detroit-inspired house and techno. He signs our 264th mix.

For 7 years, Peach: Drag and Dirty Disco has been serving the queer community and drag performers of Hanoi, bringing you Hanoi’s most dangerous drag show each month. This month to celebrate Snug’s 9 Year Anniversary we will bringing you an extra special show with a particularly special After Hours with Skatebård!

For this month’s edition, Peach plays host to an extra special performance. For the third time, a themed and conceptualized Peach show will be landing at Savage on November 14th. The Queer Cabaret is in town, for one night only!

The show will start at 10:30pm and finish at midnight. Expect kinks, sex, intrigue, thrills and spills. Don’t be late or you might miss out!

Hailing from a town called Ørsta on the Norwegian west coast, Lødemel moved to Bergen in the year 2000, where he quickly became part of the town's growing club scene. 
After handing over a homemade demo to Tellé Records label boss Mikal Telle, Lødemel was signed to offshoot label Tellektro in 2001. 
His first release under the name of Skatebård, a concise vinyl-only album called Skateboarding Was a Crime (In 1989), was released in 2002, and slowly but surely Skatebård's reputation started spreading beyond Norway's borders. 
Throughout his impressive career of releasing five albums and more than twenty 12-inches, he has steadily carved out his own corner of dance music with a unique flair. Traversing a range of seemingly disparate genres and emotions comes incredibly naturally to the Norwegian artist, whose music oscillates between Italo disco and raw Detroit infused house and techno. With an enviably eclectic collection of the mastery to navigate it seamlessly, Skatebård’s DJ sets offer exploratory excursions through the unknown and unexpected. From festival mainstages to intimate clubnights, Boiler Rooms and radio shows, Skatebård has captivated audiences across the globe, performing at many of electronic music’s most revered institutions.
