James Curd, Adam Frawley and Mitchell van Kaathoven aka Holy Models are a 3 piece Psychedelic Daytime Disco band hailing from outback South Australia. Their work transports the listener into a dream type state, yet rendering them fully conscious. Their genre bending style allows the user to explore a variety of different feelings. ‘Swimming’ is a textbook example. 

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of releasing Freeform Five’s comeback EP ‘Weltareh’ on Eskimo. Today we are more than glad to present you the first Freeform Five Reform in a looong time. Big!

Dutch newcomers Tesla55’s remix reminds us of that vintage Chromeo sound, which you all know we like a lot. Fellow Aussie Rocco Raimundo delivers a trippy version that is tailor made for a lazy afternoon at the poolside. 

Swimming is the opening track from The Pink Collection, the first installment in a brand new Eskimo compilation series that will be out early September.

Chigago born Laura Lee is critically acclaimed for her recordings which discussed and celebrated women's experience.  She launched her  solo career as a R&B singer in clubs in Detroit and alongside replaced the great Della Rees in The Meditation Singers in 1956. 

Before boosting her career with Motown producers, Holland, Dozier Lee had her first hit with "Women's Love Rights"on Chess Records.Lee's profound sound of concious soul and gospel was most successful in the 1960s and 1970s with tracks as "Crumbs Off The Table"  and "Rip Off".

"Hot on the heels of their critically praised album "Havana '58" and with fans worldwide clamoring for more, The Bahama Soul Club has now called upon a brilliant range of producers, DJs and artists to put their own personal spin on Bahama's latest release. Sifting through the album's finest moments they worked their magic on selected tracks and rebooted them into pure rhythmic bliss: "The Havana Remixes" is a bright collection of Latin, House, Jazz, Funk, Soul & Disco with a thoroughly modern take on Dancefloor Jazz.

Opener "Muévelo Papi" is a stirring 60s Boogaloo-hip-twist by the mighty Club Des Belugas, while Geordie mate Smoove from Newcastle turns “No Words” into a fusion of Jazz-house and Breakbeat. Opolopo pulls "Dizzy's Bounce" deeeep into jazzy House while Maestro&Vezzola and Chinchin's Zouzoulectric vs. Gardener Of Delight both having a diverse view on "Tropicana Flight", giving it a Disco-Latin-House-Funk treatment.
Suonho from Italy jams a more modern Soul-Disco-Funk on "No Words" and amps up the funk quotient on "Muévelo Papi" with a touch of Jazz and a Latin Twist. Rounding off the release is an unexpected Nu-skool Brazilika-brukbeat from Positive Flow aka Jesse Reuben Wilson on "Elegguà" and some solid Latin funky breaks from Jack&Jointz on the rolling "Rumba Fugaz".

All remixes are mastered by The Uncle and very special radio-edits were made exclusively for the beautiful 180g vinyl. Containing nine tracks, this 12" looks like a neat introduction for newcomers and a nice round up for long-term Bahama Soul Club admirers. The full extended versions of all remixes will be released on CD and Digital formats."

If James Brown had ever worked with the Fania crew this is probably what they would have come up with...

About Palazzo Pianetti:
The Palazzo Pianetti or Pianetti Tesei is a Rococo palace in the town of Jesi, region of Marche, Italy; it is presently used as the Civic Museum and exhibition space for Jesi.The structure was built in 1730, based on designs of Cardolo Maria Pianetti. The elaborate interior decorations with stucco and paint depict a variety of subjects and cycles. They include frescoes on stories of the Aeneid by Placido Lazzarini, the second floor stanza was decorated by the Florentine Bandinelli. The most important works in the collection of the gallery is a group of works by Lorenzo Lotto, completed 1512-1535 for the churches of San Francesco al Monte and San Floriano; these include the large altar-piece of the Deposition (1512); The Madonna of the Roses (1526), the three predellas of the altarpiece of St. Lucy, telling the story of her martyrdom (1532); and the Visitation (1531-35).
