A little experiment I did a while back focusing on acapella and percussion. Whilst it's a long way away from being something, y'know, worth listening to I felt like it was interesting enough to be uploaded (mostly because I think the melody has some sort of promise).

I've been neglecting my soundcloud for some time now so I decided to upload something I've been working on recently.

Rough cut of a track that will almost certainly be featured on my debut EP "Third Year Existentialist Blues". Walking alone at night, through the streets of the city, a couple of cigarettes and your thoughts your only company... Seems like an incredibly Romantic image. It feels very different when you're living it, though.

Self Meditated / Song For The Cigarettes (Demo)

A track I recorded during my week-long stay in Stone Cottage in Patterdale. Recorded with J4T and nothing but my acoustic guitar. This song is based on something I came up with a year or so ago but never sounded quite right as a solo acoustic piece. I slapped a bunch of dumb effects on there and it gave it this weird gloomy post-punk vibe (which I am totally into). I bounced a lot of the tracks around since I had too many ideas for just four tracks so the levels are a bit rough in places but all in all I'm pleased with the results.
