2018 is going to see the bond between Khidja & Malka Tuti strengthen, with the Romanian duo bringing forward their eclectic, cross-genre approach to electronic music in the shape of 2 full releases as well as several remixes tba. "Plot" & "Am I Really Here" are two dance-floor bangers, not hiding behind fashions and hype, the duo is pushing forward on both tracks, each with its own idea and story to tell. This one continues Malka Tuti’s 12” dance series perfectly, with both tracks being pressed on 45rpm and getting each its own side. All tracks written and produced by Khidja. Rob Insinia (AKA Headman's) Relish has been a staple of the Indie Dance scene for the past years and a highlight of the release calander has been the Relish Compilation with its brand of EBM with a live edge. 
With Contributions from artists as far afield as Daniel Avery, Richard Fearless and Tel Aviv based artists like Red Axes.  Relish IV continues to shine a light on Israel's cultural institution by shining a light on Niv Ast with his contribution Tatiana.
Tatiana is a percussive little ditty with plenty of cowbell, an understated bassline and electronic blips which creep on to the dancefloor unannounced before forcing the hips to wiggle. Subtle eastern flavours charm the synths where vocals add that little extra menace to a track which is already understated but deadly.
Headman has always walked the line between established talent and breaking new artists bringing producers like Mondowski and Maya Danon to the fore and Niv Ast is another name to add to the staple of talent in the Relish camp.

It’s that time again… Every summer Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant imprint celebrates another ground-breaking year with a far-reaching collection.

Ranging from palpitating ambience to chuggernaut technoid trips; the stirring 16 track set features late night creations from old friends (Red Axes, Zombies In Miami, Mike Simonetti, Moscoman) new friends (Simple Symmetry, Perel, Julian Stetter, ) and friends that have been Correspondant kindred spirits since day one, but have never had the opportunity to cast their magic on the label… Until now (Black Merlin, The Golden Filter, MR TC, Yula Kasp & Mi.ro).

As always, the vibe is deep, smoldering, emotive, innovative and unapologetically cosmic as we’re pushed headfirst into Correspondant’s boundary-less soundscape. From the coiled spring funk of Javi Redondo’s ‘Fictional Friendship’ to the hypnotic harmonics and trippy vocal textures of Uriah Klapter’s ‘Breeze’ via the slinky arpeggiated charm of Marvin & Guy’s ‘Cowboy Disco’, it’s another sublime excursion from one of the most consistent and considered imprints on the left side of techno.

Mava and Nebukat have been an important part of the Estonian underground scene for some time, promoting parties and DJing in and around the capital. Their grafting has seen them join up with Green Village producer Ali Asker, who launched LIITHELI in 2016 to focus on local talent with early offerings from himself and fellow Estonian N1MA.
First up, ‘Polymer’ immediately grips us with rising tension - progressive synth-lines and fluttering percussion becomes the main focus here. ‘Ambient Track’ provides synthetic luscious melodies harmonising delightfully with the broken-beat drums.

1212a and Ali Asker’s remix of ‘Polymer’ offers a captivating dubbed-out theme throughout, balancing delicate minimalism, with breezy atmospheres. Ukrainian producer Vakula presents a heavenly six-minute healer through precise, fluid pulsations and intriguing, melodic sound design

"The EP is a culmination of intermittent composing made by Oceanvs Orientalis amid his extensive touring schedule during the past 12-month period. Mixed and recorded in various locations from Ibiza to New York to Istanbul, the EP consists of cherry picked tracks to form a conceptual testament to Spain based producer's ever-continuing creative streak while on the road.
The EP-titled first track "Dance of Swords" is built upon a nicely curated beat led by a punchy bass line. It has the potential to stir up the dance floors with its upbeat tempo. Second track of the EP is a six minute long melodic stream named "Truths of Relativity" peppered with some twangy beats and portrays a subtle yet tempered texture. The third and last track "Volga the Horse" features Rami Abousabe of Brooklyn-based duo Bedouin on the guitars.

The cover artwork of the EP, deftly shot by aspiring Turkish photographer Onur Girit, is a match made in heaven with the general mood of the EP."

The noise was bellowing and he could feel the pressure bubbling within the small cabin as the train whizzed beneath the murky depths of the city. The underground was no place to spend a comedown let alone at rush hour as the busy people of the day to day world moved here and there with little care for pleasantries. He took his seat in the packed carriage and began to wonder where he might end at the last stop. The end of the line was coming, this much was clear. 

The Healing Company are set to reissue a piece of rave gold in the form of Automation's "Comedown". It comes accompanied with some finely tuned remixes of which Adesse Versions' is one.

Yet somehow, she's never shared any original music of her own. On November 2, however, that is set to change with the release of 'From Here,' a tune that she originally made back in 2004. Along with the original, the full EP – which will be arriving via the Downwards label – includes several reworks of the track, including this ominously lithe remix from Regis. The song debuted on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

Veronica Vasicka "From Here (Regis Mix)" [First Floor Premiere]

Doom Rec. has relatively flown under the radar this year after releases from the likes of Man 2.0 and Drvg Cvltvre in 2017. The wait is over though, as the Parisian outfit is back with a killer 4-track EP from Estuardo Flores aka Lusca. Señor Flores is half of the Mexican band Los Fugazzi. Known for its hazy acid disco sound, the duo has been outstanding recently, releasing on Nein and Playground among many others.
 
The release features two original tracks, which are sure to grace sweaty dancefloors all over the place. Dripping with raw energy, Straight Home is a true weapon and has to be handled with caution. EP is completed by two remixes from Mijo and Id!r, names we have grown to trust and admire.
