Lenzman & Redeyes: two friends that connected through a shared world-view and love of jazz, soul and underground rap music. Now, well over a decade since their first collaboration, the duo is now set to release an extended project with ‘Wonder Years’. Building on the vibes from their recent efforts ‘Gotta Change’ and ‘Hold Tight Girl’, the EP sees the duo exploring a sound that temporarily abandons their usual melancholy, and draws inspiration from funked-out jungle grooves. There was never a game-plan, just two friends making music that reminded them of a time that could be called the Wonder Years.

Lenzman and Redeyes, the two soulful dons are back on Five Alley with a 4-track EP filled with jungle nostalgia, paying homage to the early days of liquid funk.

This release's charity: The Black Archives
A historical unique archive documenting the history of black emancipation movements and individuals in the Netherlands, managed by the New Urban Collective. It consists of unique book collections, archives and artefacts that are the legacy of Black Dutch writers and scientists. More than 10.000 books in the collections focus on racism and race issues, slavery and (the) colonization, gender and feminism, social sciences and development, Suriname, the Netherlands, Antilles, South America, Africa and more.

Kicking off the 25th Anniversary of CIA Records and also bringing in 2021 with
style and positivity is the always-versatile Zero T with his ‘MYWRLD EP’.
A firm favourite of the camp and an artist who has graced the label many times before, including his first artist album ‘Cheap Shots’ back in 2008, his ability to turn his hand to a wealth of styles is at once impressive and yet also inspiring.
The three tracks on the ‘MYWRLD EP’ instantly have a classic Zero T feel, with a wealth of classic Jungle and Hip Hop influences on show. They also highlight his ability to turn his hand to both retro and contemporary styles, with solid drum work of both ilks revealed here.
‘MY WRLD 4EVR’ is one for the floor with it’s rinsing breaks and chopped beats and is impressive in it’s nod to former times, and yet a totally modern feel. ‘One More Chance’ brings you right into 2021, musicality teamed with tight beats and fizzing bass, and the EP is closed out with ‘Radical Step’, a deep bassline roller tinged with that late night Jazz feel.
