sketch friendly started spinning tunes late 2001 in the fredericton area under the alias johnnybrownbills after being held to a high standard by his mentor(jedi instrcutor for the council) and freddy local, GQ. spinning mostly hardhouse and nrg his love for hard music was only surpassed by his technical skill behind the decks. moving around over the next few years ending up in his hometown of st johns newfoundland sketch friendly (then johnnybrownbills) started st johns first hardhouse nrg night with local talent dj Fracture, after this night dieing a slow and painful death sketch friendly realized there was no place for hard music in st johns. fastforward to 2010, after slinking around the underground for a few years, sketch friendly went to see benga at the venue in vancouver with fellow dj  van golden where he was absolutely blown away by the live performance and the subs(clearly). suddenly hard music had a place anywhere, especially in st johns. sketch friendly and van golden went on to organize st johns first ever dubstep show with the recruitment and help of another local dj perfect stranger. the "ear to the ground " night went on to huge success but was eventually disbanded by internal issues. dont forget to sketch friendly!
