The song sensitizes the people to understand the concerns of indigenous people in the wake of huge construction work in Tharparkar. It is taking away their centuries old cherished lifestyle of living with peace and harmony. It is destroying their ancestral abodes, farms, pastures, ponds, trees and beautiful landscapes. Securing the beauty and lifestyle of Tharparkar needs be of 'National Interest' too!

Night falls on its own
Sun revolves on its own
Moon rises on its own
Sky bows down on its own
Since centuries, kantho (Region of Thar where coal is extracted)
is our abode
We are of our own realm
We never intervene into other's affair
We never ask for sustenance to anyone
We live on our own
Whether strong or weak
Our souls are ancient
Our wells are ancient
Now there will be no turns for water
Natives will be robbed in broad daylight
Our huts, shelter, land will remain no more
Our fragrance in this soil will remain no more
Our green pasture, our fields, forests will remain no more
Mirthful gatherings of young girls will never take place
The joyful bantering will never take place
Our potherbs, legumes and whole food will cease to exist
Our dominion & fortunes will be gone,
Dwellings of aborigine will be grabbed
Distress and anguish, will be given to our women
Chang, borrindo, Chara (Musical instruments of Sindh) will never be played
Sand dunes will be out of sight
Pastures between dunes of Jharkili (Pastures of Jharkili are famous) will vanish
Earthen pots of Kadho kumbher (The famous potter of Thar) will not be sold
Echoes, sounds, pronouncements will be gone
Beloveds will be gone, foes will be gone
Vast courtyards will also be gone
The awe and majesty will be gone
The muddy homes and courtyards will be demolished
The valiant will leave the land, the mighty will be subdued

The thieves will be no more, masters will be no more
Our threaded sorrows with land will also be no more
People will leave, peacocks will leave
Beauty that warms the heart will leave
Relatives of the natives will leave
Bird songs on the shore will not be heard anymore
Honey, sweet, wax will be gone
Light in our eyes will go off
Food will become tasteless
We will go numb 
Moonlight & seasons will be no more

Our time and mirth will be filched
The talisman and rakhis will be torn off
The goats and hoards will no longer belong to us
Blood streams will dry out
Natives will wear gloomy look
Our fields will not be haunted
No attraction for mehub dahar will be felt
The graves of elders will be ruined
Their memories will be erased
Our mosques will be demolished
Our temples will be demolished
Our self-being will be demolished
some strangers will visit our villages
We don't know their designs
We will be astonished to see them
Self-esteem will surge among us
You will burst into tears, so Am I
