Skin2Soul was founded at the rooftop of the Noord MTN taxi rank by six travelers whose roads converged to form, what is now known as skinicology – the manifestation of the greatest love of music and blackness. Although controversial the name does rather express the inheritance of music from generation to generation and the effect of one being touching another, through positive messaging and love – that is a recurrent theme in Skin2Soul’s music. Skin2Soul serves to take people away from their troubles and remind them of the beauty that is innate in all human beings. It celebrates love, life, positive living, overcoming social norms and being true to the self and true purpose. Skin2Soul is the journey of brothers seeking enlightenment, bringing joy and wisdom to the streets through music.
