Their performance is an audacious exploration of musical possibilities, powered by real-time programming and unlimited improvisation. Despite being continents apart, with Atom in Chile and Tobias in Berlin, their reunion on stage ignites a creative force that is palpable in every beat and rhythm.

The mix is a rich tapestry of techno, woven with threads of experience from iconic venues like Berghain and the Labyrinth Festival in Japan. Listeners are invited to embark on a journey that traverses the traditional boundaries of the genre, venturing into uncharted auditory territories.

A live session that encapsulates three decades of evolution in the world of electronic music, where every moment is an spontaneous creation, and every sound a revelation.

Born in London & having lived in Bristol, James Laing aka Night Garden draws from the sounds of those two cities, alongside musical knowledge gained during his classical compositional training. With releases on Melifera, Bahn & most recently Breatice M's hybrid Dubstep label, Bait, Night Garden aims to create richly psychedelic & hypnotic pieces which combine modern sound design with classical theoretical concepts. 
Night Garden is a musical project embodying an imagined space between our conscious reality & the world of dreams. It is a liminal point in space & time; a home to drifting forms & sounds unknown. Suspended in a twilight haze, its nebulous inhabitants float into distant obscurities, shedding ephemeral traces from their transient skin.

His releases have seen him majoring for the likes of Nous’klaer - a label he’s most commonly associated with - to releases with Delsin’s Mantis Series, DJ Nobu’s Bitta label, and his celebrated Parlama EP for Spazio Disponibile - Konduku delivers an undeniable sonic pattern of uptempo, liquid and polyrhythmic groove.

With a shared love for music, we warmly welcome AHIL, our dear friend whose musical views enrich our final podcast of 2023.

Rotterdam-based DJ AHIL is the visionary behind Hypnosis. As both the founder and resident, he aims the platform towards delivering a deep, hypnotic, and rhythmical experience. 

This mix was recorded during a period when he visited Monument Festival and Parallel Festival. Both places served as significant inspirations for AHIL, both personally and creatively. AHIL reflects on the experience, stating, 'Meeting, connecting, and vibing with other people through the power of music is truly something special. All the positive energy experienced during these events went straight into this mix. With this mix I’ve tried to really go for style I would love to hear and play on festivals during summer. It still contains lots of deep, organic soundscapes and trippy patterns that I usually love, but this time with a more sunny and free approach.'"

I also kept in mind my upcoming performance at Acquario in January when making the mix. 

2023 is coming to an end and 2024 is just beginning, giving me the feeling that each year like a circle that comes around and around again. However, even though we may find ourselves back where we started, there are always many journeys and experiences in between these points - this idea is also something I have tried to incorporate in this mix. For this week's podcast, we welcome back a familiar face of SKIN: Remma. Inspired by the symbiotic energy and tension buildup on the dance floor, this set is a playful interplay of rhythmic layers, in which Remma brings together twisting noises with themes of exploration and unpredictability. 

With his growing presence in the Dutch music scene and strong ties to Enschede's music community, Remma's journey has been nothing short of adventurous.
