Marroushti is a community focused creative who seeks to showcase art and music by marginalised artists from the SWANA region and the Global South. She is the founder and host of Salaam Radio Show which recently won the Best Music/Arts Program Awards on 3CR community Radio. She is also a DJ and an events manager under Aywa and PussUP both of which providing a platform for all gen!, First Nation, migrant and LGBTQI+ communities across Naarm. As an events manager/curator she is known for bringing diverse, experimental and unique artists to the music scene as part of building a community of SWANA artists in Melbourne. And as a DJ she is known for her infectious energy behind the decks and creativity in blending diverse genres of contemporary jazz, experimental electro, Trap & footwork with Shaabi and Arabic folk infused club music. She performed along with some of Australia’s most talented Djs such as MzRizk, Female Wizard, Mirasia, DJ Plead, Moktar, Stev Zar, Motez, and many more.
