I wrote this song for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary because their love for one another inspired me and makes me want what they have.

Young Love

The wonderful young lady this song was written about moved to another country and it felt like love wasn't meant to be, but just like you can't force luck upon yourself, you can't force love either. But it will come someday :)

I wrote this song about a lovely young lady I had a very pleasant conversation with late into the night before seeing the sunrise at the Grand Canyon the next day. This is my favorite track on the EP.

Ghost Of Elysium Past

This was inspired by watching planes land at Sky Harbor International Airport from Hole in the Rock in Phoenix, Arizona. I was watching them with a very dear friend who was here from Germany as an exchange student, but she was to return to Germany the next day.

2000 Miles Apart

This song was written with pure nostalgia in mind - send yourself back to childhood memories of Thanksgiving and the whimsy of the season's first snowfall as you fall asleep in that big armchair by the fireplace, steaming mug of hot chocolate and a peppermint stick on the side table.

“Skippy” isn’t so much a stage name or persona as it is a way of life for me. I do my best to be happy-go-lucky. I try not to get too bogged down by the work-a-day world and stressful trips to the grocery store, and music helps me cope. Since moving from Detroit, MI to Phoenix, AZ almost half my life ago, I’ve leaned more into the music and genuine friendships and family, and I really just want to share the things I learned along the way with you. I hope you take a part of my music and hold it closely as you find your own way to relate to it. I hope it moves you, and should the unfortunate day come along when you need it, I hope it helps you cope with the gravity that life can sometimes lay down on us.

My EP “Enough” will be dropping in February 2020, and it is all about my struggle towards self-love, and I mean it was a STRUGGLE. Just ask my friends. Better yet, drop me a line on my “Contact” page and become a friend. You’ll probably become part of my next album as well as the rest of my life.
