Living a double-life can sometimes come with challenges, but for Evgenii Khmel, his double-life has a whole different meaning as a he splits his creative time between two successful aliases within the bass music scene.

Now living life with his family in Koh Phangan, Thailand, you can still be sure to catch a flash of leopard print prowling between drum & bass and dubstep raves as both Leo Cap and Black Barrel, the latter of which dropped his latest EP recently on Dispatch.

Having a real tight knit bond with Dispatch Recordings, Black Barrel recently released Want To Feel EP on the label which features four tracks classic deep and rolling beats from the man himself. He continues to be a resident and loyal family friend of the label.

COLD WAVE

Born and raised in Mulubinba (Newcastle AU), KreliaS, expertly fuses heavy metal's energy, progressive/alternative and psychedelic rock, and dub bass lines to craft dark and emotive drum and bass soundscapes. 

He co-hosted Cabin Fever Sessions on Orbital Radio and was a resident DJ with Cabin Fever Crew in Sydney (Dec 2021-Feb 2023) and is currently the creative co-director of Newy Bass Crew in Newcastle, fostering a bass community and performing at various events. Notably, he was featured on Bristol's Goat Shed Radio show, The Down Underground, and has showcased his talent at significant events, supporting artists like Brazilian legend Jam Thieves, heavy hitters from Overview Music, Klinical, label boss Energy, and UK jungle powerhouses Serial Killaz and Dillinja. 

Additionally, he has hit the underground festival and doof circuit playing at events such as Zenith Gathering Festival, Basscamp, Ipso Facto and Subsonic Music Festival. KreliaS has quietly been working on producing his own music to bring his own flavour of drum and bass to his sets, and to the world.

Skitzoid is the creative alias of multifaceted bass musician Matthew Parker, who has spent 8 years planting his roots heavily within the genres of Drum & Bass, Jungle, Dubstep & Neurobreaks, whilst continually incorporating his love for more niche genres such as halftime, glitch & footwork. 

Skitzoid has amassed a broad and diverse discography of underground music, signing with various heavyweight labels such as Prime Audio (UK), Audio Swarm (UK), Dirty Kitchen Rave (UK), 8Ball Audio (AU), Bass Militia (UK), Badkill (US), among many others, whist also playing DJ support for internationals such as Paige Julia (NZ), Zombie Cats (GE), SICARIA (UK), Digital (UK), Klinical (UK), Epoch (NZ) & Daseplate (UK).

Passionate about the craft of music & production, Matt is also the founder of Kinphonics, a producer driven event platform based in Brisbane, AU, focused on showcasing talented musicians with the community and beyond, and, is a co-host of The Brisbane Drum & B4zzz Show on 102.1FM.
