Newy Bass Crew: 074 Introducing... Synonymix

Born and raised in Mulubinba (Newcastle AU), KreliaS, expertly fuses heavy metal's energy, progressive/alternative and psychedelic rock, and dub bass lines to craft dark and emotive drum and bass soundscapes. 

He co-hosted Cabin Fever Sessions on Orbital Radio and was a resident DJ with Cabin Fever Crew in Sydney (Dec 2021-Feb 2023) and is currently the creative co-director of Newy Bass Crew in Newcastle, fostering a bass community and performing at various events. Notably, he was featured on Bristol's Goat Shed Radio show, The Down Underground, and has showcased his talent at significant events, supporting artists like Brazilian legend Jam Thieves, heavy hitters from Overview Music, Klinical, label boss Energy, and UK jungle powerhouses Serial Killaz and Dillinja. 

Additionally, he has hit the underground festival and doof circuit playing at events such as Zenith Gathering Festival, Basscamp, Ipso Facto and Subsonic Music Festival. KreliaS has quietly been working on producing his own music to bring his own flavour of drum and bass to his sets, and to the world.

July Jungle Jams by Adam Hester

This week we will be playing guest mixes from local bad bois Inspectah and Skitzoid. Both Jack and Matt are heroes within our community, each of them regularly organising and promoting events in our town. Inspectah runs Tempo and loves to bring that UK jump up sound to Brisbane, and has made us a mix of liquid and techy rollers, perfectly blended!

For the final hour of the show we have a guest mix from Skitzoid, who is no stranger to the show, having hosted his own full episodes in the past, as well as the 'Neuro Break Out Segments'. He's also the brain behind Kinphonics and regularly books the best in underground DNB, Halftime and Dubstep right here in Brisbane. He produces all of the above mentioned genres and has releases on many Australian and International labels. His mix is a recording of a recent performance of his from the Eye In The Sky bush doof which took place last night! Expect break neck transitions, seamlessly tearing through all sorts of weird and wonderful sounds.
