Forms Falling Into Place

Breaking the Code is a movement spearheaded by a group of dedicated educators, entrepreneurs, and community members seeking to improve the educational opportunities for students in Philadelphia through increasing technological exposure as well change the educational dynamic to nurture a stronger entrepreneurial spirit in students.   

On February 1st, 2014, BTC member, Jr. Music Executive, held it's first ever Record-A-Thon. From noon to midnight, artists from the age of 14-21 had the opportunity to record music surrounding the theme “Breaking the Code: Igniting Genius” at various studios across the city. 

Select recordings from this event were compiled into an inspirational and youth-empowering mixtape by DJ Statik and played during the Breaking the Code Institute within the 2014 Pennsylvania Google in Education Summit on March 1st, 2014.
