Alican is one of the key pillars of Istanbul’s electronic music culture: a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Isolate, the label and event series that emerged after he and his close friend Murat Uncuoglu took over and revitalized the iconic club Indigo. With nearly two decades of experience, he’s become an intuitive selector known for blending emotionally charged atmospheres with hypnotic rhythms, and a respected producer with releases on Innervisions, Kompakt, Gigolo, Get Physical, and Multinotes, among others. He has performed in cities like Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, Ibiza, Moscow, and even at the 2008 Love Parade in Dortmund. Humble, consistent, and deeply devoted to his scene, Alican remains one of the most influential figures shaping contemporary Turkish electronic music.

Taken from Sonson’s debut EP on Lossless, "What I Need" showcases the Munich-based producer’s more experimental and rhythmically fractured approach to contemporary club music. Built on broken drum structures and syncopated swing, the track drifts between patterns with an off-kilter momentum that feels vibrant and unpredictable. A sparse palette, sharpened by a driving, repetitive vocal sample, creates a hypnotic tension that pushes beyond standard 4/4 frameworks while still locking dancers firmly into its pulse .

While "Remnant" leans into functional, reductionist house, "What I Need" emerges as the EP’s bold counterpoint; a precise yet adventurous cut that highlights Sonson’s instinctive feel for groove, space and rhythmic exploration, marking a strong first appearance on the Lossless roster.

Next, “Who Are You” dives inward with a deeper, reflective edge, showcasing Liminal’s rare balance of tension and forward motion. “Fire” follows with a vocal-led, percussive groove accented by sharp stabs - urgent, driving, and unmistakably kinetic.

Three remixes push the EP into new territory: Darlow transforms Sweet Love into a radiant late-night burner, Claudio Ricci warps Fire into a hypnotic breakbeat trip built for wide, moving spaces and Missio reshapes Fire with futuristic precision and crisp rhythmic detail.
