Inspired by East London based running collective Run Dem Crew; 'We Run Them' was created by Run Dem Crew member, actor and rapper Ed Skrein as ‘music to train to’.  This song and video provide a unique insight into London’s urban sports collectives. These are London’s street athletes, passionate about training in 2012 with the Olympics on their doorsteps.  The video was shot at Run Dem Crew’s Shoreditch HQ, Nike 1948 and features members of the crew. Sportswear & location was provided by Nike 1948.  


 Ed Skrein, runner, rapper, and actor, made his name as an MC working with Foreign Beggars, Plan B and Asian Dub Foundation. He has recently found creativity in Film, acting in Kieron Hawkes thriller 'Piggy', Nick Love’s re-make of 'The Sweeney' alongside Ray Winstone, and most prolifically starring in Ben Drews 'iLL Manors'.  Sport and Music are lifelong passions of Ed’s. He loves a sporting challenge; in 2010 he swam the Channel, in 2011 he cycled from lands End to John O Groats. To Ed, music & sport go hand in hand. Each essential to one another and natural partners. Ed co-directed and co-produced this video and brought in Graziella (Scarlett Lowe, Miss Frank, Driving Lolita) and Dubbledge (Lowlife & Dentedrecords) to help convey the message.   

Produced by of AJ of New Machine, AJ plays guitar for Plan B and has produced tracks for Maverick Sabre, Chipmunk, Ria Ritchie and Benny Banks.  

 Run Dem Crew is a collective of creative heads with a passion for running and the exchange of ideas. They meet every Tuesday in the Nike 1948 concept store in Shoreditch to run and explore the streets of London. Formed in the winter of 2007 by DJ, poet and writer Charlie Dark, as an alternative to traditional stuffy running clubs, Run Dem Crew is committed to change and the upliftment of the next generation. RDC works closely with young people across London providing mentoring and advice along with the opportunity to explore London in a safe, unique, positive and supportive environment.

'We Run Them' Ed Skrein ft Graziella & Dubbledge

Ed Skrein is an highly creative and versatile artist, musician and actor.

Following a degree in fine art, Ed successfully explored his passion in music. His work as an MC has been released on Dented Records. He has collaborated with a variety of artists (Foreign Beggers, Nathan Flutebox Lee, Asian Dub Foundation and Plan B). He has toured throughout Europe (Spain, Norway, Liuthuania, Switzerland and Poland) and on the UK festival scene (Glastonbury World Music Stage four consecutive years, Womad)

Through his love of performance, Ed has recently and naturally gravitated to acting. 2012 is a busy year for Ed and he can been seen in three of the years most talked about films; Keiron Hawkes 'Piggy' (Released 4th May), Plan B's directorial debut iLL Manors (Released 6th June) and alongside Ray Winstone in The Sweeney (Released September).

When not performing on a stage or studio, Ed is an accomplished and dedicated athlete. He has swum the channel (2009), cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats (2011) and completed numerous Triathlons and half-marathons.
