Apt then that each of these reduced house jams evokes half-invented memories of other places and times, be it the smoky live jazz vibe on 'Past Is Your Potential' and 'Cabaret' or the workaday hustle of 'Defense 2000'. 'Trappes' is more upfront, matching deadpan Psycho samples with bumping tobias.-esque rhythms to create a crafty dancefloor killer.
