Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to listen to my remix of Chaos, by MUST DIE!

This track is easily identified by it's hook at the start of the drop and every 8 bars afterwards. The hook demands your attention and rightfully so, grabs it from you.

As a remixer, I wanted to keep that hype in the track so I kept the hooks but I made it a bit more reminiscent of my style, along with the rest of the track. I went for something heavy, so if you're into some slappers, this'll tickle your fancy.

Hey Everyone!

Today I present to you my official remix of Unsecret and Krigare's track "Heroes Never Die"

This is a really big, cinematic/electronic piece and is one of my favourite works to date! I'm stoked for you guys to hear it!

How this came along was really funny actually..
I remember hearing the song and thinking that I should remix the track. Knowing that there were no stems or official remix of the track, I decided to remix the track using the MP3. Once I did that, I sent off the remix to Unsecret's email and hoped for a miracle.

He heard the track, loved it, and wanted to release it. Nine months later and here we are, finally releasing this track to the public. I can't wait to hear your thoughts!!

This is my unreleased showcase for 2022! There are 12 tracks here for you to indulge in! Let me know which is your favourite! :) 
There are a couple of tracks on here which were heard on the 2021 showcase, however I fully intend on releasing these and thought I’d give you another snippet to listen to.

I would have had 6 or 7 more tracks, but my computer died last month and so I wasn’t able to finish them before the new year. I would wait to get these done before putting out the showcase, but my first release is scheduled for the 7th of Jan, so I thought I should get this out ASAP and then maybe put out another one part way through the year. Tom & Caroline aka V O E (Vision of Empire) are a drum & bass duo hailing from Adelaide, Australia, with a sound that combines huge cinematic atmospheres and distinct production with powerful and intoxicating vocals. 

From winning NCS’s Track & Build Competition in December 2020 to now, Tom and Caroline have been truly unstoppable. Since signing exclusively to Viper, the duo have released a slew of huge singles leading them to their breakthrough debut ‘Chemical EP’ , which featured 5 immense records & gained support from UKF, Radio 1, Triple J, and more. 

Now, V O E are further celebrating the lead track Chemical with a new remix EP. Turning the tables and hosting their own remix contest, V O E are bringing four new names to the spotlight: Skrybe, SYNTHETIC, TR Tactics, and Tadeleot, alongside their own VIP of the original. 

With over 100 entries, narrowing it down to just four winners was no easy feat – especially when each track brought such a different take on the original. 

Competition winner Skrybe wowed V O E with their apocalyptic re-imagining of “Chemical”, delivering a distinctively dark and ominous energy with a drop that might even catch you off guard, all while masterfully integrating Caroline’s original vocals into something brand new. 

SYNTHETIC extracted more of the rock n’ roll side of the track, expanding on it with raw guitar riffs and epic drums alongside vibrant synths and pads, once again totally transforming the original and taking the listener to an entirely different era. 

TR Tactics focused more on V O E’s neurofunk inklings with a full throttle, intricate powerhouse rendition of “Chemical” that is loaded with adrenaline and impressive technique. 

The fourth competition winner Tadeleot’s offering is a melodic and enchanting dreamscape, gently luring in the listener into a much more serene fantasy before switching it up at the halfway point with a fast-paced neon electronic drop that will surely get both fists and hearts pumping. 

Last but certainly not least, V O E have also graced listeners with their own take on the original with Chemical VIP, which has been doing damage on the event circuit both at home in Australia and abroad. 

An impressive EP from start to finish as well as a wholesome celebration of some of the scene’s future stars, V O E have delivered something truly special with this project. A full circle moment in some ways as they first rose to fame following a similar contest, V O E spent countless hours hand-picking these four tracks, each one a standout for different reasons, alongside their own VIP. Proving once more that they’re more than just a name to watch, be sure to keep all eyes on V O E in 2022.

Strange Fruit

After hearing that Symphony was going to be a track used for a remix comp, I needed to take part. Recently I have found a lot of love in the acoustic and cinematic sounds. The intricacies of each instrument used is timeless to say the least and the overall timbre fit beautifully with Zara’s voice. Because the track is called symphony, I wanted to give the track a symphonic sound while still supplying a heavy drop here and there. Here’s my remix of “Symphony” by Clean Bandit.

I’m so glad to finally show you all my first track of the year “At Your Feet” 

I decided to take my time with this track. I had this track finished last year, but after getting some constructive feedback from some artists and people I look up to with high regard, I saw a lot more potential in my track and took the time to make it better, which I think it was worth the wait as the difference is quite massive!

This is also the first track that will use my vocals, so that is exciting!

This track is available for free download. I have two versions of the final master. A dynamic version, and a louder version which is louder as the name suggests, but has less dynamic range. The choice is up to you regarding which you download!

Cadmium & Skrybe - Outcry (Feat. Emm)

Hey everyone!

A cinematic take on the emotional track "Blindspot" by Nurko and Devon Baldwin. I really enjoyed making this remix and went for something a bit more minimalistic than what I normally would for the first drop. The second drop goes back to the big and dense music that I normally make and has a nice contrast and climax that the track wouldn't have if both drops were big and dense like the first.

I thought that the original had a bit more of a happy/bright vibe than was suitable in my music. I tend to write stuff that has a bit more of a brooding nature and decided to help that by pitching the vocal down and writing in the relative minor.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and I hope you enjoy! Also a big shoutout to Nurko and Skio Music for allowing us producers to remix this track!

The masked artist, Skrybe, is an electronic music producer from Melbourne, Australia. A classically trained trumpet player, his love for music has grown strongly since picking up the instrument and has flourished into the aesthetic of the music he now produces.

Studying music composition has led to an exploration of dynamics; emotion and expression, before fat basses and hard hitting beats. Skrybe works with colour and texture, expressing feelings as primary influences for his music, rather than specific timbres or production styles. Much of his music is built around the intricate characteristics of cinema, orchestral and film soundtracks. Whilst his style is primarily electronic, specialising in multiple genres which may sound familiar to some listeners, his attention to detail introduces us to a significantly different emotional context.

With an increasing presence across the electronic music scene, Skrybe’s recent highlights include charting on Beatport with his track "Aquila", releasing official remixes for QUIX, Crywolf and Unsecret, as well as playing alongside international acts, Barely Alive, Nukid and Virtual Riot

While approaching his music with an almost ‘steam punk’ like identity, Skrybe’s sound leaves us with dynamics and narratives not often explored in the electronic genre.
