This is one of the beautiful songs that is so dear to the music lovers of Kerala who grew up in the golden era when Salil da gifted wonderful melodies to the Malayalam film world. This song is from the 1978 Malayalam movie – Madanolsavam a remake of the Hollywood movie of Erich Segal’s Love Story. Later this was dubbed into Hindi too – Dil Ka Saath Dil. (It’s noteworthy that there are two different songs in Hindi and one in Bengali all in the same tune.)

This is one of the top hit songs of Dasettan under Salil da’s music direction. The lyrics are by the acclaimed Malayalam poet ONV Kurup.

The English translation of this song goes like this…
