i’m a poet and i wrote this it’s called After Months Indoors

nestled in clutter,
motionless,
my mind crawling with bugs.

inside me,
a worm burrows—
consuming,
devouring the ghost i was.

months pass
before i leave the house.
my skin, pale,
trembles at the air.

the sun, so certain of itself,
presses its sizzling arms against me.
i squint,
eyes glossy and full of tears.
