It was fun to do this and I like how the elements sound in the beat. Fun fact: I was looking for a hit to loop and play in the background of the song, but I ended up finding this scratch and I liked the end result. When I started producing, I didn't know I would be able to get to where I am and produce the way I do now. And yes, to get to where I am I had a lot of difficulties and moments when nothing worked out. Skulldamemphis returns to his roots with Night Flowers, an EP with a unique and striking aesthetic. Back in the day, Skulldaemphis made beats focusing more on samples than drums. Melodic samples and vibes, like songs by Lonnie Liston Smith and the like. The drums were simple and repetitive, but enjoyable to listen to and gave the beat a nice bounce. But Skulldaemphis tried to revamp his beats and make them more complex, but it didn't work out. Skulldaemphis didn't like the result, and neither did the audience. So today I present to you Night Flowers. A classic Skulldaemphis-style tape with repetitive drumming giving the necessary bounce and rhythm, while the melodic sample complements the beat's vibe. I hope you like it because Skulldaemphis is happy to be able to reconnect with his audience. Skulldaemphis sincerely hopes you, the listener, enjoy this tape, and stay tuned, as new volumes will be coming.

It was early this morning. I was on Sample Focus looking for some boom bap loops, both samples and drum loops. But it's hard to find good loops because most have already been used many times by famous artists/producers and beatmakers, even unknown and less famous ones. But I got lucky and ended up finding a very obscure drum loop, and of course I downloaded it. With the loop downloaded, I opened the DAW and combined this drum loop with a sample that I played around with in the piano roll, changing the pitch between low and high, and technically my beat was ready. But then I just remembered a folder I downloaded called acapellas. In this folder there's the acapella of "Bia Bia" by Lil John, and let's face it, this acapella goes very well with lo-bap, and you know Skulldamphis and lo-bap is something else. I hope you like the song because I enjoyed producing it.
