The MILES FROM MARS duo is On the Way to Ozora 2023 too! Miles from Mars is a hard-hitting combo of two of Cape Town’s finest electronic beat-makers, Max Kibble & Shane Renew. With over 20 years of combined production and DJing experience, these two have rocked festivals across the country and abroad, and brought their brand of mayhem to many dance floors this side of the Solar System. Shane has been delivering gut punches of energy since apes became bipedal, and when Maximilian isn’t curating festivals, you can find him snake-charming crowds with the grooviest of techno sets.The result of such a merger of power can only be described as a sonic hybrid, channeled by off-world entities. Miles from Mars sees these two sonic shamans join forces, to create a new breed of techno, fuelled by groovy leads and pounding, world-destroying bass lines. They have a unique take on a fitting soundtrack for a dystopian revolution. This Miles From Mars Live Set 2023 contains all original tracks written by the duo, including some unreleased material they are saving for their tour in Australia and Ozora later this year. AKARI SYSTEM is On The Way To Ozora 2023. AKARI SYSTEM, also known as AKASYS, is a collaborative Techno project created by RINKADINK and AIRI. Based in Japan and producing together since 2020, RINKADINK is Werner van Jaarsveld, a producer and DJ born from South Africa. Having started DJing in his early teens, he moved to London in 2000. With his advanced technical skills and unique sound, he has released numerous tracks, performed as a headliner at many festivals and clubs and has been active in Psychedelic Trance for the past 20 years. AIRI is Felix Ando, born in Switzerland from a Swiss father and a Japanese mother. As a child he was educated as a violinist in Germany. He has been active as an electronic musician since 2004 and has played in many festivals with his enveloping sound that features a warm soundscape, thick bass, and smart composition. Please look forward to the PsyTech that they weave.

Skwid - Market Stage - Rainbow Serpent Festival 2019

When Skwid travelled to New Caledonia to play at a jungle gathering, he had no idea of the impact the visit would have on him. 

A week long journey of connections, experience, and self-reflection made this trip a truly unforgettable experience and inspired this EP. 

From the opening track 'Casse pas la tête' which takes you to the relaxing, tropical scenes of Noumea, through 'Découverte du trésor', 'Oléti Champignon Poulet' featuring San n Tac, and finishing with 'Entrée dans la forêt', this release aims to share stories and feelings from the island of New Caledonia.
