“See No Evil” is a 5 song recollection of childhood memories that sees the Zimbabwean rapper flex his story telling muscles. This project goes against the grain of African rap. There is not even one commercial song on this, hell, there are barely any hooks on any of these songs. SkyCityUno decided to start telling his story as raw as he possibly could. This short project taps into a side of rap we rarely see, the honest side. Reality rap. SkyCityUno himself said that the beauty of his music is it’s purity. “See No Evil” was released on the 14th of September 2018 and was recorded and mixed entirely by the rapper himself in his home studio. SkyCityUno does not mince his words throughout the project, being very upfront and almost vulnerable at some points of the project. “See No Evil” has only one feature appearance by vocalist Glenzito and consists of various producers with Charlie Zimbo being the most consistent figure, also appearing as an Executive producer. This project is a turning point for African rap and the re-introduction of the reality rap we once knew and loved from the likes of Pro kid and Kingpin
