Dirk honored me by asking if I would help add some cello to one of his gorgeous piano tracks. We had some trouble finding the right sound, but thanks to Lyod and Science Teheran, Dirk found just the right cello sample.

The great success of my "Valses melancoliques" (including the award-winning No. VIII - le desir eternel) encouraged me to continue this musical idea of melancholic valses, resulting in 12 new valses from C minor to B minor, created in a 14 day "composing rush" in April 2013 :-)

Pianist Carlos Marquéz (https://soundcloud.com/cmdigital), whom many of you know for his outstanding piano recordings, was so kind to play some of the "Swans". 
Enjoy his breathtaking performance of this piece!

This is the third track from my album "Birth, Life and Death".

This music was written when my first daughter was born. 
It can not recreate all the feelings I had that day but it is quite close. 
And my biggest joy is that 7 years after, she dances on it.

Birth In Blue

In 1840, David Wilkie go to Holy Land to take some visual inspirations for his religious work.
He'll die, during the return trip, while sailing and en route to Britain.
His "Burial at Sea" will be immortalized one or two years later, by his friend (and amazing painter) William Turner. This "burial" wasn't chosed by Wilkie himself, of course. But the cold tones, this ray of light cutting the boat in two, and the word "peace" addicted to the title of this painting has something similar to this Beneking's piece.
"Peace"...Isn't that exactly what we wish, for ourselves, and for all the people who was loved and who died while we're still living?....
Peace, for all these souls, who still maybe traveling, or sailing, as these "Rosas Sur La Mer".

My humble contribution is recorded again with bad quality, but this already can make you hear how this piece so beautifull is!, and it  can already gives you an idea of how so wonderfully it can sounds without Sibelius!
