this mix goes out 2 all the wubberz worldwide; with these tunes coming from all over, although primarily the UK where I was spat out into this world. if you have a car, please play full volume all over your local area; if not, simply lift up ur headtop revealing the jelly of the brain, allow this  potent mixture of tripped sideways sonics and bassline to liquidfy, and drip it all over your cortex like your squeezing a lemon. that was my intent for this mix, an exploration into the psy and bouncy/clownin’ elements of future dub/2step/wubz, and also to celebrate one of my fav places in the hellhole that is berlin to go and absorb this sound, studiodB

As part of the collective Astral VIP he throws raves in the outer-lands of the city, focusing on kinetic tripped out tracks with a focus to bring you low, away from "hands in the air", and with a touch of euphoric nihilism for that sprinkle on top. Dance-floor weirdos and sonic freaks rejoice and indulge in the sound.

Ahead of his Raretraxxx 3-hour vinyl set held at our next event featuring Lena Willikens, we reupload this Cristian G. Martí’s mix recorded on a now lost cassette. Originally titled “Selftrax?”, one could say it weaves a plethora of records from several genres, from downtempo and ambient house to 80’s electro, funk, avant-funk, dub, trip hop, house, acid house or bleep, but its main characteristic is the exhibition of Martí’s main traits, which make him undoubtedly one of the best DJs we have ever seen, one of those few real DJ's DJ. It is as if he traverses almost the entire musical spectrum looking for records to build narratives in and in-between genres, giving more importance to the music material, always offering a peculiar and fine selection —like gems shining among piles of records— and a truly special, unique way of mixing.

"The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.”, one well-known writer once said. And for the new Birds entry, I welcome @philipp-otterbach, long-time record collector of all kinds of music, DJ and producer, who would approve his words. For a long while he devotes himself with endurance to music. During the 2000s, he threw some forward-looking dances with his old buddy Vladimir Ivkovic in the German Ruhr region. And when Düsseldorf’s shrine for outer-national grooves Salon Des Amateurs opened in 2004, Otterbach became a one of the first residents. Since 2014 he is also out there with his very own sound, releasing EPs on labels like adventurous Dutch Knekelhuis, Themes for Great Cities, Brokntoys etc. In 2020 he dropped his debut album 'Everything Else Matters' on R.I.O.  followed by "The Dahlem Diaries" on Music From Memory Nowadays (2023) and "Correct me if I am incorrectly you" on Offen (2023). Listening to one of Philipp's DJ sets is like shuffling through an imaginary library. His musical language follows an intertwined logic of emotional affects, ineffable magic and endless fantasy. A man for suspenseful storytelling that likes to melt early electronic music, Krautrock, minimalism, and all sorts of tribal rhythms with eclectic voodoo dance, psychedelic guitar tsunami’s, house, techno and electro - always beautifully entangled with a precise feeling for special funk dynamics. This one is another great example of these antics too. Let the mind fly with the birds!
