SKYLAB® are a Dutch musical duo that records and releases future electronic music. They consist of producers Dave Diepeveen and J.J. Chrysostomus, working in close collaboration with pioneers in experimental sound technology.
 
Skylab® are fronted by one DJ on stage wearing a specially designed astromask with built-in optical technology for seeing sounds (wave frequencies).
Just as we continue to discover new elements, the number of recognized human senses has long been known to exceed the five standards we learn as children.
 
The astromask symbolises entering unexplored space, while expressing reexamination and original interpretation of the conventional.
As creative technology evolves, notions such as synaesthesia which were on the fringes of human understanding become a tangible, fascinating often beautiful reality. If you are puzzled and confused by these words; just follow us and we'll show you the way. We are SKYLAB
