Unfortunately I didn’t get to record the actual set. But I was able to check my playlists and history on my USB to re-create what I played live. Minus a few bonus tracks I played at the show. But don’t worry about those! 

When I got booked for this event, I knew I wanted to do something different from what I normally do. I already strive to be more unique when I play shows. It’s easy to make a playlist full of bangers and just drop them one after the other. So I typically try to include a bunch of tunes that still bring the feeling of being bangers, but aren’t any of the same 20 songs any other DJ is playing that month. But I knew that wasn’t really an option this time. 

For this one, I took that workflow even further. I knew I wanted to play things that were more melodic. Songs that were much more expressive and had feeling. This wasn’t meant to be a club set. If anything, I was striving for more of an audio/ visual experience. So, there’s some clashing here and there; the transitions aren’t all perfect. They’re not really supposed to be. It’s not like I’m telling some kind of story; whatever that’s supposed to mean? But I wanted to play good music, and I wanted to make people feel, with that music. And I think it worked. It certainly worked for me! 

So, I hope you enjoy the mix, and I hope you feel something!
