lovely mix ending on an all time classic!!! LOVING it

This was my opening message to the people of RTTS on Friday 21 May '21 - Take it in! Take it in because there's magic in the water!

From "Riding on down to the place where it all came from" to "Feel good" to "Don't hold back", this set was about happiness - a pure pink sugar dopamine rush - but my highlight was at 1:11:11. It's a pretty weird song that I absolutely love because its stark minimalism accentuates the filthy bassline, and when I saw that the dancefloor actually tuned in and grooved, I knew we had a connection and everyone was on my wavelength. It was the last "experimental" track, my homage to the mighty MK, before Brain Ticker took us to party city. 

Well, these were my nutty ideas, and seeing them manifest in the beautiful people in the crowd and the host of crazy characters with me on the train was beyond my wildest dreams. No drug can do that - only high octane love and energy ..... and maybe a pair of wings :)

A magical memory of Friday night sunset…pretty girls in hoola skirts, dust suspended colours rainbowing across the horizon and then Be Svendsen took control of a tiny little crowd and before we went off to the Clan Burn, the Camp was heaving with people enjoying this mix. From the decks of Robot Heart, BPM to Rainbow Serpent and everything in between since we last met in Tankwa, we're so honoured and proud to have this man back with us in 2016.

Perry ∞ [Journey Series]

Around the fall, witches are associated with spooky Halloween. However I found a special witch who had a different story to tell, one that doesn't involve flying on brooms, spooky cauldrons and screeching cackles in the night. 

I invited her to join my LOST series to tell a specific story close to her heart. This mix is meant to represent the life of her great-grandfather, who had the misfortune to be involved as a soldier in The First World War, spending the full duration of the war in the trenches of the far West of Flanders, separated from his family who lived in occupied Belgium on the other side of the front line. I have no idea what kind of horrors he went through, but fighting was fierce in Flanders Fields and I know that he got seriously wounded twice. Luckily he survived the war and became a strong anti-war advocate later in life. 

This podcast is not about the war itself, but about the slow and painstaking return to a peaceful life. The first half of this mix is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, with the dark shadows of the war still lurking everywhere. The second half is completely different, very peaceful and full of bliss…
