Temple, out September 16th on Gravitas Recordings, is a perfect blend of west coast bass and ethereal melodies truly capturing the full @Orenda style.  He has released amazing music for years now on Gravitas and other labels, and this recent work is his highest quality with extreme attention to detail and sound design.  It still has the Orenda world-music, ethereal vibe, but with more festival and club-ready tracks. Orenda describes it as “A journey style EP arranged from highest to lowest energy. Focusing on a fusion of ethnic, world music rhythms and instruments, blended with dark West-Coast bass music.”

The opening track “Temple” brings this high energy to the forefront with tribal bass and captivating percussion building into a heavy drop of clean wubs and growls that pull the listener into a trance.  “Unbound” dives into beautiful background vocal chops and string plucks, again building into heavier bass and growls but not losing the original ethnic soundscape created.  “Eclipse” brings down the energy in a journey through world vocals and organic textures, dropping with deep bass and enchanting synth stabs that brings a nostalgic feel and perfect blend of his two energetic sides.  “Sanctum” builds further into this lower energy ethereal vibe while still incorporating smaller growls and unreal sound design from the previous tracks, another one that throws the listener into another world.  “Nightfall” closes the EP with perfect natural soundscapes and organic textures and foley to transport the listener into a jungle of sound, the whole track teases the heavier aspects and builds into one final drop that leaves us wanting more in a perfect way.

A detour to the brighter side of underground bass, breakout producer L'homie (@lhomie1990) brings us his 'EARLY HOURS' EP. Inspired by late night adventures and the warm glow of the ensuing sunrise, the collection fuses elements of glitch hop, breakbeat, and hip hop to create a spirited journey through groovy melodies, chunky basslines, and a dash of melodic vocals. A tasteful synthesis of modern influences, 'EARLY HOURS' will find a home in the collection of DJs and recreational listeners alike with its ability to scratch that itch for novel sounds while reminding us of those fleeting moments of bliss that seem to only come at the end of a long night.

Having been released on multiple labels such as Bassrush, Unchained Asia, Phuture Collective, PlayItLouder, Street Ritual, and more, the Icon Collective graduate continues to draw influences from multiple genres including hip hop, neuro, future beats, jazz, and synthesizes it in a way that is truly unique to him.

Skysia, emerging from Denver's dynamic music scene, is a standout artist renowned for his unique blend of ethereal, organic, and melodic sounds with a new focus on sound design and bass. His transition from a nomadic life in a mini-school bus to a thriving Denver-based musician symbolizes his evolving artistry, balancing darkness and light in his compositions. His mission is to infuse harmony and storytelling into bass music, as he believes in the power of narrative in music-making.

His recent work includes the Overture EP (February 2024) on the prestigious Odyzey label and the acclaimed "Here" album (2023), accompanied by the feature film "Here: Memories of a Soul," directed by Julia Delbourg. This project, inspired by his 13-track LP, delves into themes of memory, existence, and relationships.

Skysia’s background in film studies deeply influences his music, adding a cinematic and symphonic quality to his sound. He aims to take listeners on a hero’s journey through his compositions, combining earthy textures, deep bass, and orchestral strings for an immersive experience.

He has graced stages at major festivals and events such as Lucidity Festival, Elements Festival, and Meow Wolf, sharing the limelight with artists like Clozee, The Funk Hunters, Rezz, and many others. His upcoming performances include Texas Eclipse and Red Rocks with CloZee and LSDREAM.

The name 'Skysia,' derived from 'sky' and 'sea,' reflects the duality of his music, capable of being both soothing and intense. This balance is a cornerstone of his style, fusing melodic downtempo with experimental bass, and allowing listeners to connect with all aspects of themselves.
