His transition from a nomadic life in a mini-school bus to a thriving Denver-based musician symbolizes his evolving artistry, balancing darkness and light in his compositions. The name 'Skysia,' derived from 'sky' and 'sea,' reflects the duality of his music, capable of being both soothing and intense. This balance is a cornerstone of his style, fusing melodic downtempo with experimental bass, and allowing listeners to connect with all aspects of themselves.
