The least good that we can do is form an Atomic Priesthood
To keep the future species from going where no one should
We bury the mistakes of past nuclear waste
Hidden underground for future races to face

It's our task to leave signs for civilizations to trace
But who's to say what language these generations will embrace
Basic symbols up for vast interpretation
Disasters resulting from grave mistranslation

This is not a place of honor and glory
This is a deep geological nuclear repository
Reaching through a millennium to give some education
And preserve the evolution of beings and vegetation

Imagine the future, all that's in front of me
All this timespan...wonder what it's gonna be

Thinkin farther ahead than the mind can handle
The longer the timespan, the more time is a gamble
The future is non-existent so there is no example
Will you recognize it if we leave you with a sample? 

The evidence is ample that society's in shambles
Systems for communicating from the past, dismantled
We still try to decipher ancient sites
Writings on the walls, in no way will it suffice

We gotta pass down our knowledge before it's demolished
Oral traditions, from the speakings of scholars
In the future we will pay the price with wisdom not dollars
Refining every message 'til it's shiny and polished

And pass it down to all generations unborn
Descendants from the centuries beyond us, taking form
When you encounter danger, give praise you've been warned
Because knowledge survives, through the deadliest storms
