super solid mix of a brilliant downtempo group, very much how I would have done it including many of their greatest compositions!

I found this on internet livearchives alongside others and I'm grateful for these impressive mixes while we continue the wait for LP5

Despite America inventing techno as a whole, it doesn't seem to understand club culture. When Aphex Twin landed at Coachella for a rare excursion to the desert festival it could be safely surmised that Richard D. James was willing to put a cat amongst the pigeons. Aphex Twin's sweltering collision of music and graphics seemingly blew literal minds. At least according to this reviewer. The unknown American marveled at "The Aphex Twins" and their difference to other EDM artists, reflecting on her discovery that music can be art, and that the Warp icon has corrupted her soul. It's hilarious, but – equally – pretty on the money. Listen to it now.

Boards Of Canada - The Half Awake Mix

Maybe best known for their debut album ” Music Has the Right to Children”, released in 1998, Boards of Canada’s music is reminiscent of the warm, analogue sounds of 1970s media and contains themes of childhood, nostalgia and the natural world. BoC’s sound is a product of their use of analogue equipment, mix of electronic and conventional instrumentation, use of distorted samples as well as live and recorded lyrics, and their layering and blending of these elements. Some various people have asked me in the past to make a BoC tribute but I felt it had been done to death and again Tamaris mix from France was in my opinion by far the best. BoC have not made many mixes but the ones they did are memorable. They are probably covered as much as Aphex twin despite having such a smaller output. Over 200 covers, remixes (unofficials) and edits of BOC here are some of my favorites. BOC takes me to a special place, I hope this mix will do the same for you through these new versions !

The Warp Records Bleep × takeover marked the last event at our pop-up shop in Dalston. Mira Calix, Plaid and Special Request all delivered sets that were energetic, playful and ultimately; incredibly fun. This mix from Plaid starts from the off at 100% and stays there till the end. From the first kickdrum to the final squelch, this is a constant roller bursting with heart palpitating energy.  60 minutes of pure vibrancy with a breakbeat or two thrown in for good measure - fitting for a final big blow out!

No frills or faff about this set, just banger after glorious banger from Warp kingpins.
