This week’s mix unveils key mastermind behind Decay Audio - please welcome emerging deejay and producer, Jungist. She cofounded this project based out of Eora to build and represent a community for deconstructed club and leftfield dance genres not often seen on the surface. This mix reflects her unique perspective on sound and Decay’s ethos, drawing listeners through layers of ambient experimentalism, glitch, disjointed breaks and dark drum and bass. True harmony through Chaos. 
Caution: If we sent this mix into outer space on humanities next golden record, extra-terrestrials would already be on our doorstep.

Nectar is a celebration of diversity in music, recognising that without the influence of different backgrounds and perspectives, music wouldn’t be what it is today. This series invites artists who are invested in promoting inclusivity to share an unexpected side of their music taste. Because ultimately, all music, being an individual expression of self, holds equal validity.

"This mix is based on music that sounds ‘pointillistic’. Pin-prick textures, rolling rhythmic pulses, scattergun breaks and swirling arpeggios are the building blocks of all the tracks I've included.

Trying not to get bogged down in one aesthetic or genre, I wanted to find tracks that approach this sound in different ways, such as through unusual drum patterns or through textured sound design. There's a lot of beatless trance out there that suits this sort of mix, but I felt it necessary to branch out from that for the most part to keep things as eclectic as possible.

I really love the idea of the Nectar mix series. For me it’s important to get outside of my comfort zone as it’s where I have the most fun when DJing. Thanks to Pollination for inviting me to take part!"
