'Rat Pack' immediately sets the vibe with satisfying plucked keys atop pattering drums and ominous atmosphere. Mindscape doesn't wait for listeners to get comfortable before unleashing two hulking bassline punches on the downbeat, setting the stage for the remainder of the tune. The intro draws to a close, and equally distorted bassline counterparts come into focus. 'Rat Pack' gets serious as aggressive drums converge with riotous vocal snippets to create a potently anarchic concoction. Melodic components descend downward, with a sense of hopelessness.
