Welcome to the second episode of Dyplytt.

The second episode is called "One-Spring Revolution" and is inspired by the natural farmer called Masanobu Fukuoka (Check out the mini-documentary about him and his life--philosophy as a farmer, Link below). 
It is finally spring (at least in my area of the world!) and everything is blossoming, both plants and humans, the light is radiating around us once again, so the timing for making a mix inspired by spring felt natural. As I wrote above, the title is inspired by the philosophy of natural farming, which is focusing on learning from nature, rather than controlling and maintaining our own needs on behalf of nature. Fukuoka said "How about not doing this, and not doing that. There is no need for us to put extra labour in our own hands, when nature already has the solutions to help us in this world". That is a way of thinking I tried to incorporate in this mix, to don´t be to focused on controlling the transitions or vibes, just let the flow take care of the happenings, sit back and watch mother nature do her magic! I personally got very satisfied with the mix, so I hope you will be that too.

dyplytt episode 2 "one-spring revolution"

Welcome to the third episode of Dyplytt.

The third episode is called "Læn On A Summerday" and is inspired by those hazy, hot and hammock-friendly days out in the sun.  We all know this summer feeling when you are maxed out on that chilled-out-vacation-vibe, but still have that happy energetic mood in your body. You want to rest every inch of your body, but also wants to do it in a laid-back groovy-dancy-way. This way of living is what me and my friends call Læn. Be chill, but also be active. Harmonize those two, and you got Læn.
So here is that læn-vibe! I tried to catch a varied mood between total relaxation and hip-friendly rhythms, perfect for the warm days with your friends outdoors. 
Summer is such a pleasent season for outbursts of energy, for me personally it´s been so magic and satisfying that this mix got delayed by 3 weeks (or more?!?), but now it´s here for the rest of this alived season.

The artwork is made by the talented and beautiful woman, @alicepihl . Lately she as becomed my best friend and someone who inspire me to reach my natural potential in life. Thank you for your contribution and please do some more co-working with me, honey!

dyplytt episode 3 "læn on a summerday"

Welcome to the fourth episode of Dyplytt.

The fourth episode is inspired by the autumnal season of decay and hibernation. A wondrous and contemplative period of the year, where all that has been expressive and blossoming, once again is going into one more year of experience and gratitude. Autumn is truly a season where one is landing on the earth again and having the feeling that one is coming of age.

The music is inspired by this, and personally the music i am delivering feels like a way of going into age. A soft journey into ambient and jazz with some touch of experimental electronica. It is surely something I have never presented on Soundcloud before, but its definitely something I listens to in my home. So here is mye contribution to when we all Come of Age, and learn to dwell within this reality that has so much beauty if one dares to listen.

dyplytt episode 4 "come of age"

Welcome to the fifth episode of Dyplytt.

The fifth episode is inspired by a deep tradition that happens in Sweden every year at summer solstice. A day filled with family love, old folkloric songs, good food and staying up late to find or be with your loved one.

I decided to create this mix since (as a norwegian) it´s my first time experiencing this tradition, after being invited by my girlfriend and her lovely family, and then felt the urge to start dig after swedish music that every swede can relate to, or swedish music I remember listening to as a kid. I can only say it has been a fun ride to find all these fun but nostalgic tracks and also comping and sampling them together with different well-known scenes from classical swedish movies every person in scandinavia grew up with.

dyplytt episode 5 "midsommarhav"

Welcome to the sixth episode of Dyplytt!

The sixth episode is inspired by those magical gardens in Japan, which still fills my imagination with lust and desire to go and experience this mythical country and its lush nature. Tsukiyama means directly translated "Moon Mountain" but is also a word used for their famous gardens that tries to replica real landscapes in miniature form. Aki simply means "Autumn" which represents the season we are located in.

I tried to keep the mix filled with asian artists, as the talent that derives from these areas really have a fascinating and beautiful way of expressing their musicality. I really enjoyed the journey of finding this music and also trying to capture the well-known sounds of asian music. This one was not easy to mix, but I am pleased with the sonic journey that came out of it, and hopefully can send you listeners on a one hour trip through asian sound.

dyplytt episode 6 "tsukiyama aki"

Welcome to the first episode of Hakk i Plata

This episode is focusing on the mysterious and half-serious genre called, Ketapop. The story behind the genre origins back to Leipzig around the beginning of last decade, and had its big hype in this period as well (2010-2020). The electronic artists @ninzeokaxy started this gem of a name with a touch of humour, but nevertheless with the intention of finding a suiting name to their own productions. The after effects of this name became later a decent hype in the clubs and on the internet too. The music often represents a mellow, sedative and melancholic vibe together with its groovy drive and rhythm.

I hope you will enjoy the mix as much as I did. This genre stands close to my heart, and I did my absolute best to handpick some well suited tracks for my dear Ketapop.

hakk i plata episode 1 "keta pop"

Welcome to the seventh episode of Dyplytt!

The seventh episode is inspired by the marvelous creatures, that quite possibly inspired us humans to start creating those magical melodies we have in music for ourself. I am of course talking about birds, that probably is my favorite animal, flying so freely above us in the sky and creating those wonderful lullabies with their entire body, how can one not fall in love with them if you are a deep listener like me. The title of the mix was kinda decided before I even knew it, as it is in respect for my closest neighbor, namely Huggo the woodpecker. Every day during winter time he came to greet me and my girlfriend in the morning.

The mix itself was not easy to make, to be fair. My biggest rule in making it, was that every song in the mix needed to have some kind of bird in it, and it actually took me a year to complete this. It is a travel through sudden changes in genres, and also some transitions with purely songs from the birds. Also the intro is by the amazing David G. Haskell from his wonderful story about birds in the Emergence Magazine. I will put some links down below to this great soundtelling of him.

The artwork is made by @allisgroove, my wonderful girlfriend. And yes, the woodpecker in the artwork is Huggo himself. Look how beautiful he is!

dyplytt episode 7 "free as a woodpecker"

This is the first 2 hours (of 10,5 hours with Sjoførn, my unpredictable but trusted friend) I did in the winebar at Monument festival. It was a magical and lovely day surrounded by great dancers, great listeners and great friends.

These two hours is the beginning of our long set, and is exploring many different vibes, I enjoyed it and I hope you guys enjoy it too.

Welcome to the second episode of Hakk i Plata

This episode is focusing on a genre that was, in its early days, an avant garde sound, but also came as a further development from all the minimal techno, glitch and house that flourished in Berlin and other cities containing well-known electronica environments, in the late 90's. This genre got the name, Micro house, which has short samples of many different instruments and vocals as its main characteristics, as well as smooth and simple loops that can go on and on; actually some micro house tracks last for 15-20 minutes with not much happening. 
It's hard to not come around the one and only Jan Jelinek, when one should talk about pioneers within this genre. And I'm proud to admit that he is taking a larger amount of tracks in this mix, which felt natural for me when the sound he created really defined what micro house was and still is (in my opinion).

I hope you will enjoy this mix and sit down to fall into the memory lane of historical electronica music. This is really a distinct and beautiful sound that should fit perfectly with the late autumn and coming winter.

hakk i plata episode 2 "micro house"

here is my recording from a wild festival called soria gathering. this one took place way up north in norway during the midnight sun, on an island way out. i played at the lovely beach stage close to ocean, where the horizon was pure and magical.

the mix contains some proper warm analog atmospheric minimal house vibes, something i thought would fit the analog sound of the function one by the great shepherd soundsystem. also the warmth of the sun that never sets felt mutual to the sound i went for.

it contains some hiccups here and there, but if you ask me this is just a beautiful charm in these times where mixes seems way too perfect, in my opinion. some errors just seems proper and original when mixing in an era filled with the indulgence of perfection.

Welcome to the eight episode of Dyplytt.

The eight episode is called "Into The Woods" and the title is inspired by the ancient and mythological stories around going into the woods to become mature and basically a grown man (or woman!) for your tribe. As the winter season is closing up on us I can always relate to this feeling about going inwards in to yourself and reflect in order to become more human for whats to come. This way makes it very similar to the old stories, and that is also something I personally have felt as an artist after starting this mix-series. It has given me a bigger foundation to rely on in this tough industry of art and craftmanship.

In the mix I tried to keep it very soft and cozy, but still having a dynamic journey through different genres. I hope and think this one hour of music can be a perfect fit for you who is going into winter hibernation, with a warm blanket, a warm cup of something and a proper fire in your fireplace.

In spring 2025, I created “An Ecological Echo”, my bachelor exam performance consisting of field recordings, dub-influenced textures and archival voices from Gro Harlem Brundtland and Arne Næss about the climate debate. The musical work explored ecological awareness through looping structures, reflecting how the climate debate often moves in cycles without sufficient action.

Welcome to the ninth episode of Dyplytt.

This episode is called “Love To All is Free,” a title inspired by the quiet understanding that love is not something we control, hold or bargain with. It’s something we allow to move through us freely, gently and without fear. As the winter months close in, I keep returning to this idea: that becoming more human is often about softening rather than hardening, making room for the heart instead of the noise. It also means understanding that love grows clearer when we give it space and allow perspective and breath to be safe. In many ways, it mirrors the ancient stories of walking inward, meeting yourself and returning with a deeper sense of truth to meet the world.

This mix is shaped around that feeling: warm, soft and spacious, yet subtly moving through different emotional and musical landscapes from folk to ambient and spiritual jazz. My hope is that this hour of sound can accompany you through your own winter slowing-down, wrapped in a blanket, a warm cup in your hands and perhaps the glow of a quiet fire nearby, close to someone you feel free with.

dyplytt episode 9 "love to all is free"

Since its been a while, and since this day was such a treat, I uploaded my Dj Set from the open air we threw a couple of weeks ago. I went into the set without any idea how it would turn out, the only decision I took was that I would start with O/Ys latest track, and I took that decision ten minutes before. So the mix became a very playful set with a lot of variations and maybe a bit too much reverb some times.
I hope you enjoy this rollercoaster of tunes! They worked with the sunset we had while I was playing, you should try that too!

Welcome to the first episode of Dyplytt.

The first episode is called "Courting The Wild Twin" which is refered to the importance of befriending the wildside of yourself. Your wild twin is being born with you when you are born, but fleeds to the wilderness straight away after the birth. From there your wild twin awaits for your calling, so you once again can reunite and become the whole person you are suppose to become. We all should tend to our dark- and wildside of our psyche, not to let it controll you, but to understand it more deeply so you can understand more of life and how it is to be a human being (Just ask Carl Jung!).

The artwork is made by my fantastic daughter, Oline. I wanted a winter feeling combined with the cosmos. I really think she delivered.
