Crónica De Un Viaje  continues — a conceptual album divided into 13 chapters, each representing an emotional state and a personal experience through music.

This chapter delves into the value of learning and the transmission of knowledge. It speaks about the importance of studying, listening, observing, and keeping curiosity alive. About understanding that growth doesn’t always come from accumulating information, but from learning from those who have already walked the path.

“Mentores” is a tribute to all those visible or invisible teachers who share their experience and inspire us to turn what we’ve learned into our own identity.
The track is built upon a hypnotic and organic percussion pattern, supported by a deep and immersive bassline that conveys perseverance and discipline. Atmospheric textures evoke introspection, adding depth and motion to the track’s progressive development.

Etruria Beat boss Luca Agnelli returns to the label as he unveils four fresh originals in the form of ‘Dangerous’.

A leading name within Italy’s techno landscape and beyond, DJ, producer and label owner Luca Agnelli’s musical journey continues to surge with releases and remixes via the likes of Drumcode, Soma and his own Etruria Beat imprint. Having played a series of stand-out shows to close the year including TIT festival (Malaga), Duel (Naples), Die Rakete (Nuremberg) and THC (Bogotà), not to mention a breathtaking performance from the top of Torre Del Cassero in his home region of Tuscany, early 2020 sees a welcome return to home turf as the Etruria Beat boss steps out to reveal his latest EP ‘Dangerous’, comprised of four commanding productions.

Title track ‘Dangerous’ unveils a high-octane ride through escalating synths, resounding kicks and menacing low- end tones, whilst ‘High Gravity’ utilises further infectious lead line work and slick, metallic drum licks. Next, ‘End Of Time’ sees the introduction of soaring melodies alongside off-kilter sonics and tripped-out vocal snippets, before closing proceedings with ‘Acidulous’, a driving acid-led effort that snakes through both tough and more melodic territories in impressive fashion.

All 4 tracks clearly show the pair’s dynamic and inventive creative streak continues amid the current lockdown situation. 
 
Title track ‘Desolate Spaces’ leads the way with a huge rave-infected synth and an intense and overpowering drum track. The Purge leans more on distorted elements, using them to create dynamic movement throughout the track whilst remaining full of that typical Slam groove. Infiltration has clever, inventive FX use to create a warped environment as straight up percussive elements build the drive. Closing out the EP is The Rush a full on and explosive Techno tirade that hit full blast from the start and delivers consistent momentum

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
