Acierate. [ˈæsɪəˌreɪt]. Verb (transitive). To convert (iron) into steel. That is at least what the Oxford English Dictionary might tell you if you searched for the meaning of this word. If you’d ask any raver from European Techno hotspots nowadays, like Berlin, Paris or Barcelona, who haven’t been hiding under rocks for the past few years, they might give you a different definition. They might tell you a story. A story about a DJ they can’t forget. A DJ who provided them with sonic experiences in a class of their own.

Drivy, aggressive synth leads, encased by hammering industrial tunes. Music, so energetic, so undeniably going forward that it almost hurts not dancing to it. Because that’s what Berlin born and bred Acierate is serving his audiences. The founder of SYNOID and resident of Berlin’s infamous Griessmuehle has a indisputable reputation for unapologetic DJ sets driven by an unquenchable thirst for rave. Not in the sense of bluntly sequencing matching records, but in building up musical narrations. Telling stories not with words but with synth lines, high hats, snares, and a hell of a lot of bassdrum. Converting sonic energy into physical movement. So, once again, what’s Acierate? Emerging from the city of Lyon, Caravel has captured the scene by storm with her trademark sound, a concoction of industrial grittiness, unbound energy and relentless assault. Her musical roots reach back into her childhood, where she played the guitar and the drums. Her transition to the world of dark dancefloors and pulsating strobes came about when she first helped out at the Nuits Sonores in her hometown on Lyon. She has been affiliated with multiple organizations such as Pyramiid Production and We Are Rave, but has now finally settled herself with the infamous Tapage Nocturne, the biggest promoter in Lyon. Her unique personality and her undying commitment have made her an artist to look out for. More of her own productions are also underway, so keep an eye out for that!

Following a string of releases on his Involve imprint, as well as Figure, Enemy and BPitch, Regal is one of Techno’s most exciting talents of recent years. Since 2012 he has quickly established himself as one of Techno’s most in demand artists, remixing renowned acts like Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, Emmanuel Top and more, not to mention collabs alongside Len Faki or Amelie Lens. Further bolstering his reputation as one of modern Techno’s most prevalent names, his own productions have been remixed by heavyweights such as Mark Broom, Jeroen Search and Radio Slave.

Known for his ability to move between influences and sub-genres, his style is eclectic as he draws from pockets of sound across the electronic sphere, with tinges of Trance and Acid undercurrents at the centre of his ever-evolving sound, tailoring the perfect mix between strong rhythms and melodies that enchant the soul. As a DJ’s, besides playing renowned clubs and festivals like Berghain or Awakenings, Regal also is a core resident at KHIDI, one of the key clubs at the forefront of Tbilisi’s thriving techno scene. 
In 2019, Regal joined forces with fellow acid head Alien Rain for their ‘Acid Affair’ EP, and had a heavy involvement across Ellen Allien’s BPitch imprint. He marked his debut on the label with the rave-esque EP ‘The Eyes’ and a track on the first compilation of her newborn UFO Inc. Carving his legacy deeper into the global techno scene, 2019 saw Regal’s second stint at Boiler Room in addition to featuring as DJ Mag Spain’s October cover star.

@Gracedahl is a Techno DJ/Producer based in Amsterdam, making a name for herself with her stellar DJ performances and her flourishing skill for production.

Momentarily she finds her inspiration within a lot of old-school UK influences while mainly focussing on the more powerful, straightforward spectrum of Techno. She builds tension by adding current industrial touches, leading acid lines and sinister vocals to her otherwise dominating old-school sound.

She has notably destroyed the Unpolished and Vault Session Warehouse Elementenstraat on several occasions and you will understand why once you'll have listen to this set.

For the occasion, we will be descending into the abyss of Transfo. Underneath the big power generators lies a huge cellar where hundreds of workers maintained these machines. They’ve been unused and undisclosed for many years and will now, for the first time, be exposed to the public.

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
