From his deadly rhythms to his mind-bending design work Ø [Phase] feeds his creations from a multitude of angles. His natural habitat is pitch black dancefloors the world over and he is poised to shake things up again with his new project Phyxix alongside Matrixmann.

There are origin stories about musicians as there are grains of sand at the sea – too many, yet seemingly never enough. And just as it is with snowflakes, each grain is unique in shape and texture, and tells a different story. 

Desroi’s connection to music sometimes seem more like the relationship between a geologist and a grain of sand than the usual musician’s narrative would have us believe. For him, it’s not about the obvious things like harmonics, melodies, and simple arrangement. It’s about structure, the texture of clangor, the rhythm oscillating from each sonic wave and surface. 

With each track – be it in his studio or in the DJ booth – he time and again dives into the complexity of sound, exploring, experimenting on the possibilities and limits of sonic feasibility. Yet he manages not to drown in the vastness of musical theory. Each time he returns, he brings back a piece of sound to add to his collection. Not to keep it to himself, but to pass it on to the place where electronic music belongs – the dance-floor. 

Few manage to combine those levels of musical refinement with actual enjoyableness like Desroi does. His body of work as a producer, DJ, live act, and label head speaks volumes for itself – enticing in its apparent simplicity, mesmerizing through its depths at closer look, likable for its sheer genuineness. Just like a grain of sand.

Hailing from Belgium, Steven Petitʼs Border One project has amassed an
irrefutable reputation in his home country and beyond since the release of his first 12-inch record in 2015. Between a fascination for sound discovery through the use of his modular synthesizer and his loyalty to the classic club rhythms, Border Oneʼs style serves as a swiss-army knife for promoters and DJʼs on an international level.

With a self description expressing a priority to make the crowd move, his music does not fall short of its intention. Forward thinking in its conception rendered highly functional in its implementation, Border Oneʼs music finds middle ground in an increasingly polarized musical climate for the genre; whether it be through his selection as a DJ or his technicality as a producer. Considering this, his release catalogue seems only appropriate. He has released EPʼs on Knowledge Imprint, Setaoc Masseʼs SK-X, his own Border One Records, Freddy Kʼs KEY vinyl imprint, and the infamous Token Records to name a few.

PWCCA aka Dr Cyanide, born in Madrid on April 26, 1979.
He started in the world of electronic music in 1995, he took his first contact with some dishes in a pub located in his area, driven by a friend who worked in it. Firstly, he showed progressive and house sounds, but not take long to opt for more underground trends, influenced by large techno producers such as James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, Portion reform,Regis or Surgeon among others. In 1996 and is interested in how to produce electronic music using software and hardware, creating his first beats with a Roland TR 606 and the software for rhythms "Hammer" In 1998 he was selected from over 600 applicants to represent Madrid in the first national championship of amateur djs organized by the magazine Deejay, held at the legendary venue Disco 8 Barcelona, obtaining a fifth appreciated. Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
