Hailing from Venezuela and now based in Montréal, Canada, Isabel Soto is a techno music producer, DJ, and the visionary behind the record label NYXII. She currently holds a residency with the Montreal-based Arder collective.
 
Her hypnotic and deep approach takes the listener on a journey through both her sets and productions, creating a sonic atmospheric experience enriched by pulsating rhythms and percussive beats.
 
She has quickly left a mark on the music scene with numerous releases on esteemed labels such as Immaterial.Archives, Soma Records, Synergie, 01366, Duplicity, Keyhole Records, DifferentSound, Diffuse Reality, Second State and her own imprint. Her work has garnered recognition and support from artists around the world including names as Kr!z, and DVS1 -  who consistently feature her tracks in renowed venues such as Berghain.
 
Isabel made her European/UK debut and first tour in September 2023. This marked a pivotal moment in her career as she played in several countries and at venues such as the legendary Tresor (Berlin), The Garage Of The Bass Valley (Barcelona) and About Blank (Berlin)

My favorite track from the set (and of all time) is “Energetix by Sterac aka Scorp” because I believe it truly embodies my vibe and personality. I often play it during the peak moments of my sets. This record carries an incredible energy, which is no surprise considering its title".

Gianluca Caiati, better known by his stage name Kaiser, is an esteemed DJ specialising in electronic music, particularly in the genre of techno. Born and raised in Southern Italy, Kaiser's journey in the world of music has taken him from his humble beginnings to the city of Berlin, where he currently resides. 
From a young age, Kaiser displayed a natural inclination towards music. He was captivated by the power of electronic sounds and the immersive experience they created. As he explored the realms of techno, he quickly found his calling and began honing his skills as a DJ and producer.
Kaiser's talent and dedication did not go unnoticed, and he soon caught the attention of the electronic music scene. His unique style, blending hypnotic rhythms with pulsating bass-lines, made him a sought-after performer in clubs and festivals around. Kaiser, techno DJ / producer and label owner (K S R) from Berlin is a sought-after performer in clubs and festivals, well known for blending hypnotic rhythms with pulsating basslines. Our podcast #5 is a live recording cut from his set for Locked Groove / Brooklyn.

Right from the start, it feels like you're on a trip. Deep vocals and groovy parts adorn the set. The body has to start moving immediately. Some classy techno tracks alternate with lesser-known gems. It's the ups and downs of the energies that make listening fun. In the middle part, the whole thing is briefly broken up with more breakbeat sounds before the set picks up pace again towards the end. 

Great techno for eternity!

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
