This year, the spanish techno legend Oscar Mulero will return to the stage at rural, and we are happy to share the recording of his closing set at “rural at New Acao” in 2022.

This three-hour raging techno set guided the audience to the most intense and deeper world in the otherworldly main floor of “New Acao”, a gorgeous Showa-era building overlooking the sea.

rural Podcast 014 Oscar Mulero

Tatsuya Kanamori quickly became one of the few Japanese techno producers to rise to worldwide prominence within the late 90's techno scene with his productions and remixes as DJ Shufflemaster.
Originally a committed member of the Tokyo-based label Subvoice, where he released several of his early EPs, Kanamori's reputation outside of Japan was greatly aided by his affiliation with European techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Ben Sims and Carl Lekebusch.

It was no surprise that Berlin-based Tresor knocked on the door and offered Kanamori the opportunity to record her first full-length album. In 2001, he appeared via Tresor, a full-length LP packed with a string of dancefloor-oriented techno productions featuring Kanamori's trademark aesthetic, making him one of the first Japanese techno producers to achieve worldwide recognition.

Giuseppe Scaccia also known as D-Leria, a sonic virtuoso in the studio and a chaos creator on the dancefloor, embarked on his DJ journey in 2001. Swiftly transitioning to studio production, he garnered international recognition in Hardcore and became a fixture at major festivals, particularly in the Netherlands.
In 2014, he gave life to D-Leria, releasing a series of EPs that served as a canvas for his evolving musical style. This transformative period also saw him take on dual roles as an artist and manager at Delirio record label, where he curated a space for avant-garde talents with a focus on authentic live recording.
Relocating to Berlin, Giuseppe immersed himself in new inspirations and devoted five years to meticulously crafting his debut album, 'Driving to Nowhere.' The result was a sonic masterpiece that quickly captivated the attention of electronic music luminaries.
D-Leria’s artistic trajectory continued to ascend as he found a home in prestigious labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Sublunar, Monument. He contributed to noteworthy compilations, showcasing his style finesse and leaving his mark with remixes, various EPs and collaborative projects.
Over the past few years, D-Leria has taken the global stage by storm, venturing on active touring with debuts in historical and iconic clubs and festivals, reaching new continents, communities and audiences.
This journey reached a zenith with the unveiling of his groundbreaking and revolutionary modular live set at a festival in HALL Tallinn in 2022.
The reverberations of this innovative performance carried into his 2023 live tour, leaving an enduring impact on distinguished venues and festivals worldwide including Tresor Berlin, Khidi Tbilisi, Radion Amsterdam, Freedom Festival Medellin, Gare Porto, Closer Milan, Ratherlost Amsterdam, UTDF Białystok and more.
Last month he returned on Non Series including remixes by Polygonia, Anthony Linell and Shoal, while this month he will debut on Amtk+ on a split EP.

Jakarta-born DJ and producer Ecilo has spent over a decade carving out his place in the global techno continuum. Emerging in 2008, his sound draws from the pulse of jazz, soul, and blues; then thrusts it deep into the hypnotic realms of sci-fi soundtracks, dub atmospheres, and percussive density.

With releases on seminal imprints like AXIS, ARTS, Planet Rhythm, and Olympian, Ecilo has become a driving force in Southeast Asia’s techno movement. His debut album Uncovert, released on Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, was a landmark moment, fusing cosmic vision with raw industrial energy.

From residencies at Vault Bali and Kilo Lounge Jakarta to international appearances on stages like DOMMUNE Japan, Ecilo’s sets are heavy, heady, and deeply immersive. His sound is rooted in tradition, but fearless in its evolution; Detroit by spirit, Indonesia by soul.

For 255, he delivers a mix that’s locked-in, layered, and laser-focused. Full of many surprises, here's 2 hours of Ecilo at full tilt.

PWCCA is a veteran DJ and producer from Madrid, Spain. Active in the electronic music scene since 1995, he first explored progressive and house sounds before embracing the underground techno movement. Influenced by legends like James Ruskin, Regis, and Surgeon, PWCCA developed a signature style that fuses hard-hitting beats with expressive, meticulously layered melodies.

Over the years, his productions have appeared on respected labels such as Warm Up Recordings, Mord, Semantica, and his own Hardtools and Inducted Waves imprints. 

PWCCA’s music is regularly supported by top artists including Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, and Richie Hawtin, and his tracks are celebrated for their intensity, complexity, and emotional depth. His unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of techno has earned him a loyal following in Spain and beyond.

Since 2018, he has dedicated himself to production, discovering a keen interest in studying the technical aspects of sound, specializing as a technician in radio, sound, recording, mixing, and mastering, with a special focus on sound design. An affection to vinyl at an early stage is most probably the best precondition to become somebody finally ending up playing those vinyls for people. Somebody with a musical background. Somebody picking the right record at the right time. Somebody serving and educating people at the same time. Somebody being called a DJ. 

This fascination for records, starting in the mid 80's as a collector, and later on in the early 90's as a DJ still is burns with Alex from deep inside. After years of touring th world, from Europe to Australia, Asia to America and back and all over again, and playing at countless clubs and festivals with a complex, digital setup, Alex decided to return to vinyl as a statement and confession to the basic art of Djing. Why? Because he can. And because of the fact that it`s the music that counts. It has to be seleced by the DJ, carefully curated and played on spot. It`s the music which has the impact on the visitors of the club or festival so that their reaction scales the intensity of this particular experience. It ́s the music which is the key element for a good performace and which has to be supported by a good, powerful soundsystem, a fitting surrounding and the technical way it is.

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
