SMASH PATRIARCHY - happy queer feminist day!

 The techno and club culture wants to be a place for everyone. At the same time, the reproduction of isms is very present in the scene and marginalized groups and FLINTA stand behind white men in the second row or are only allowed to watch from the edge of the pool. We are happy to see that a shift is slowly emerging and that more and more FLINTA are on the decks. Still, there is still a lot to be done. With this set, we also reflected on our own role in the scene and how we contribute to maintaining the status quo: The music we consume and play is mostly produced by men. That's more than a shame because there are so many strong FLINTA producers - you can now hear some of them in this set, which for us is a very personal one. The destruction of the patriarchal chart is at the top of our agenda and we are glad that we can contribute a part with our music to get closer to this goal.

Die Techno- und Clubkultur möchte ein Ort für alle sein. Gleichzeitig ist in der Szene Reproduktion von Ismen sehr präsent und marginalisierte Gruppen und FLINTA stehen hinter weißen Männern in der zweiten Reihe oder dürfen nur vom Beckenrand aus zuschauen. Wir sind froh zu beobachten, dass langsam ein Shift entsteht und immer mehr FLINTA an den Decks stehen. Trotzdem gibt es noch viel zu tun. Mit diesem Set haben wir auch unsere eigene Rolle in der Szene reflektiert und wie wir dazu beitragen, den Status Quo zu erhalten: Die Musik, die wir konsumieren und spielen, ist meist von Männern produziert. Das ist mehr als schade, weil es so viele starke FLINTA-Produzent*innen gibt – einige davon könnt ihr nun in diesem Set hören, das für uns ein sehr persönliches ist. Die Zerstörung des Patriacharts steht ganz oben auf unserer Tagesordnung und wir sind froh, dass wir mit unserer Musik einen Teil dazubeitragen können, diesem Ziel näher zu kommen.
