Here it is.... the 3rd chapter of #HeavenTrap Music!!!! This moment.... marks a great step forward for our community. This song came to be in a very inspiring way. About a month ago we went on Soundcloud and searched the tag "Heaven Trap".... to our surprise we saw tons of you guys are making it!! It was truly amazing to see, and we can't thank you guys enough for supporting our sound. One of these tracks was made by Party Thieves, and it stood out strongly amongst the rest. That moment we hit him up for stems because we wanted to edit his track for our live show.... he replied and sent over the pieces. As we were working we realized he had pitched up the entire track up for his version and it wasn't exactly what we had in mind to play out. We then wrote him back to let him know that we wouldn't be able to use any of his stems for our version, but that we would still add him as a collaborator on the track. We really want to support artists making this sound.... so we felt this would be a great way to boost up a very talented up-n-comer. When the opportunity came to remix this @gryffinofficial track I didn't know where to take it. The feel good vibe of the original was so infectious but I felt it could be taken somewhere completely different.

I started searching through old hard drives to see what I was listening to when I was growing up and found that the sound I've been looking to create dated as far back as the first bands I ever fell in love with.

Although the drops in the remix are familiar to the Vincent sound you know, the rest of the remix has opened up a new path that I'm pushing in all my future releases. Something deeper than "future bass" and electronic music, something more energetic and something reminiscent of the sound that I fell in love with when I started developing my own taste in music as a kid.

When making this remix, I wanted to take a more emotional approach to Louis The Child's beautifully done "Better Not". At first, the vocals seemed a little more cheery, especially with the original instrumental. But after laying down some chords that felt a little more dramatic, I immediately felt the emotional potential and wanted to make a whole different vibe with the vocals. I really wanted to capture the emotional side that the lyrics tell. Of course, nothing can beat the original, but this is my own interpretation of what the vocals told me.
