It has been over 2 years since catching the Mother Earth duo of Suz & Bella in action in a sweaty smoked-filled Edinburgh vault. In that time, it is incredible to see the heights that this pair of selectors have reached. Playing Dimensions Festival multiple times, Glastonbury Festival multiple times, and a bag full of bucket list club sets there the future is very bright for Mother Earth. Having been inducted into the Picnic family some time ago they have gone on to earn their stripes and this is now paying huge dividends with money can’t buy memories galore.

One such bucket list session has been recorded for posterity and is the focus of this week's InSession podcast as the girls roll out a cool two-hour extract from their set at Frankfurt’s Sibergold Club. With so many influences that inform their sound, Mother Earth soon shift between the gears to present their full spectrum. From punchy stripped-back house to more electro shades, with a few classic edits thrown in for good measure. If you haven't caught them live yet then you will soon know what's up.

Some artists you connect with before you ever meet them. A mix from a homie in Buenos Aires led me to a Gustavo Cerati remix I couldn’t get out of my head. Had to find out who was behind it. That search brought me to @Furz and I’ve been tapped into his work ever since.

Nunca nos vimos en persona, pero así es esta cultura. La música conecta mucho antes de que la vida real se cruce. In English, we’ve never met in person…but that’s how this culture moves. Music makes the connection long before real life ever does.

Furz is one of the most eclectic voices coming out of Argentina right now. His sets are raw, hardware-driven journeys that move between house and electro, deeply rooted in Latin rhythms and the energy of early rave culture. There’s a steady continuity in what he does - empathetic, introspective, and completely locked in.

For episode 009, He shared something personal:
“The cat in the drawing passed away earlier this year. He was with me in the studio through most of my productions these last two years. This is a small tribute to a true companion who still walks beside me.”

There’s no formula here, just emotion, memory and rhythm stretched across machines... and from Bariloche, algo muy real.
