On one end, the relentless creative drive of Voartyx, on the other, the immovable artistic vision of Maāk.G, and in the aftermath: Convergence—a 30-minute mixture of sound that takes the listener on a journey through dramatic, melodic timbres and powerful, driving bass landscapes, all in service of creating a sonic palette that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

The story of Maāk.G and Voartyx's relationship began last year when the two artists started corresponding online about their shared interests in electronic music. They quickly discovered these interests knew no borders—what intrigued them spanned a wide spectrum from bass music to more melodically-driven modes of electronic music. Yet threading through these disparate styles was a common resonance: a spirit dedicated to impacting audiences in profound ways, evoking feelings of awe, wonder, and discovery.

Over recent months, this connection has blossomed into an active collaboration, with creative projects beginning to take shape—Convergence being their first joint venture to be shared publicly. The mix emerged from their shared desire to perform at Symmetry Festival on October 3-4 in Fairfield, Iowa, and Convergence serves as their submission for Symmetry's DJ/Producer competition—a bid to bring their combined vision to the festival stage.

But beyond any competition lies a deeper aspiration: Maāk.G and Voartyx hope this blend of sounds creates something genuinely new and compelling—something that impacts listeners in the same profound ways that first brought these two artists together. In Convergence, they offer not just a mix, but a testament to what becomes possible when creative boundaries dissolve and distinct artistic visions unite in pursuit of something greater than either could achieve alone.
