"Revival" takes me back to my earlier influences such as Biohazard and other NYHC bands that delivered powerful riffs and in-your-face lyrics - all delivered with that trademark aggression. The song explores being constantly put down by a narcissist until you are just a shell of your former self. That is until you realize what is happening and make moves to escape.

"Hardcore Punk has always resonated with me, and I find myself coming back to it on the regular."

This happened to me years ago. I think I am over it and it is water under the bridge, but then when I see someone who looks like that person, my blood pressure rises, and I get super angry and anxious. So, I know I am nowhere near being over it, and it still affects me to this day. I am also angry I allowed someone to do that to me over an extended period of time.

When it was time to pen lyrics for the hardcore riffs, I did as I usually do: I hit record, stepped up to the mic, and started yelling. The first verse is pretty much exactly what I yelled off the cuff, just freestyled into the mic. Then I wrote the rest of the song around it.

Revival

Inspired by my admiration for Nick Cave and the Peaky Blinders series, which popularised the track, I decided to do a heavier & faster version of Red Right Hand.
I tried to stay true to the haunting essence of the original whilst also staying true to my heavier style. 

I wanted to pay homage to Nick Cave while still putting my own spin on it. I'm hope you like my new version and the darker, more intense vibe I've created.

All We Are started out as a bit of paying homage to Hed PE, who I grew up listening to, and also more recently Falling In Reverse's song Watch The World Burn as I loved the mellow intro into punk chorus into Metal-core ending.
Once the song structure was finalised, I reached out to Jahred from (Hed) P.E. to see if he was keen to jump on it.
To my surprise he loved it so much he wanted to make it a (Hed) P.E. song, but I chose to keep it and just have Jahred feature on it.

Jahred brought an entirely new sense of swag to the track that I love & it was an honour to work with him.

A relentless song writer hailing from Sydney Australia, Slatz has already sparked interest in his songwriting ability and is currently being mentored by Billy Graziadei from Biohazard/Powerflo/Billy Bio & has Adam Ramey from Dropout Kings featured on several songs. "I need to catchup - I have around 3 albums worth of material so instead of working on albums, my goal is to release 1 song per month which will include music video"
