Iconic Munich based imprint Great Stuff welcomes legendary tech house stalwart D Ramirez back to their roster with his latest truly mind-blowing release; ‘The Hobo Jungle’ EP. 

The first track ‘Control of My Soul’ embodies an edgier vibe, a slick yet quirky, hypnotic little number spiced up with a pure Balearic breakdown. The track evolves from an almost minimal, mature take on G House to a wedge of prime time cheekiness. Featuring a similar, mesmerising vocal, Control of My Soul is almost narcotic; a lavish expression of D Ramirez’s constant evolution, proving he can command and charter any new course that the industry encourages. 

Demonstrating his unsurpassed ability to transcend and master all genres of house, ‘Feel It’ is driven by a bang on-trend punchy, bouncing bass line combined with classic acid inspired strings and loops throughout the middle 8; invoking inevitable spine tingling euphoria. A filtered vocal floats gently over the top, almost losing itself within the complex, expert construction, transporting the listener, wherever they are, back to the last incredible night ‘out out’ they had, and inspiring many more on the spot.

Australian house act Chili Hifly is well known for their hit ‘Is It Love’.  The song is based on the sample of Kool & The Gang’s ‘Be My Lady’ recorded by Elvis impressionist Andy Seymour. The song remained a minor hit in Europe but two years after the release date the record eventually made it all the way to #1 in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart.

In the year 2015 it´s about time that ´Is It Love´ is rebooted and brought back with some true Australian summer heat. By mobilizing Late Nite Tuff Guy, D Ramirez, GT & Wildfire and Avon Stringer for the remixes we can ensure you that we have some of ´Aussie´s finest on the case.

Australia´s ´Godfather of Techno´ Late Nite Tuff Guy maximizes the amount of disco in his remix. Flavoring the track with disco percussion and subtle synths, reaching the perfect amount of groove. D. Ramirez sourced Is It Love to a more destructive remix, putting together both well-founded beats, a strong bassline and a sophisticated usage of the vocal. GT & Wildfire worked some serious piano magic and by flipping the vocal in a surprising way it brought the track to a whole new – modern – level. Last but not least Avon Stringer brings the heat to ‘Is It Love’, he made the vocal truly majestic and by fusing magic synths and by bringing a strong melodic bassline he really made Is It Love´s reboot to one full worthy release.

‘Off Week elrow Various Artist’ is the 79th release of elrow Music, conceived as a tribute and soundtrack to Barcelona’s forthcoming Off Week celebrations, the big week of electronic music in the Mediterranean city, taking place in parallel to one of the big dates of the year: Sónar Festival.

This compilation, curated by elrow Music manager, De la Swing, presents 18 original tracks from a wide range of artists, beside tracks as ‘Hypnotic Stick’ by Danniel Selfmade & Emmanuele Inglese, ‘One More Time’ by Ivan Pica & Patrick M.   Also notable are ‘All Night Long’ by Vibe Killers, ‘Benji’ by Jacky and ‘Seshon’ by eNAHS.  In general, it is an homogeneous compilation, physical and joyful, a reflection of elrow’s sound branch, although at times it can result mental and hypnotic, thanks to tracks like ‘Whiplash’ by Andy Lee, ‘Hold Me Down’ by Gallya, ‘Hypnotic Stick’ by Danniel Selfmade & Emanuele Inglese or ‘Forbbiden’ by Kalyde.
