Slaystans presents you podcast featuring Central Asian artists who play electronic music. 
At todays first episode of our podcast we invited Bishkek-born, Berlin-based electronic music enthusiast Alisher, who loves playing all types of music that makes people dance. He prepared a groovy techno set blended with trance and little easter eggs for the Kyrgyz audience.

Podcast #1 with #Alisher

Bulat Shaymi, originally from Tatarstan and based in Munich right now, is a member of the Tatar indie and electronic band @taraf.band. As a language activist and blogger, Bulat promotes not only his native Tatar language, but also other Turkic languages through his edutaning videos.
The latest release of their band Taraf – "ikenche" – stands out for its uniqueness, featuring music in a new electronic genre in Tatar, a rarity in itself. The album includes audio recordings of personal conversations with the band members' close ones, adding a special sincerity to it. 

The core idea behind "ikenche" is the realisation that life is full of choices. When we say something or even choose not to speak or act, it is still a choice, and each choice has its consequences. The album's message is to let yourself get through past events so that they don't dictate your present life. It invites listeners to let their feelings out. 

One of the fun facts about the EP is the use of the Kazakh language in one of the tracks, as well as German, reflecting the real-life circumstances of one of the band members. This adds more layers to the album, making it even more engaging for diverse cultures and audiences.
